    Yes, but what if your father isn’t a believer, and has demonstrated a lack of wisdom, discretion and proper behavior throughout your life? You can’t just make blanket statements to obey your father, as an adult, into your 40’s, for example, and he refuses to even hear you, listen to your situation, and he directs you to do something you know isn’t good for you or your family? Not everyone in this world is wise. You can’t always follow your parents. Jesus said whoever lives father or mother more than Him is not worthy of Him. My father has never been a great example, and has demonstrated perversion and biased judgment, and honestly, when he’s not even willing to hear me to gain understanding, but is already convinced in his mind he’s right, how can I even listen to him?
