Family of the pilot flying Gen. Ogolla describe him as humble and selfless man
The pilot of the ill-fated military chopper that went down with Chief of Defence Forces General Francis Ogolla, and nine other officers also died in the tragic crash.
Twenty-nine-year-old Major George Benson Magondu's life was tragically cut short when the helicopter he was flying went down in Chesegon, along the Elgeyo Marakwet-West Pokot border on the eighteenth of April 2024. His family speaking of a humble and selfless man who has left a huge gap.

In my view, age on the road is a major factor. He could have the experience but the area and weather could be a challenge. The general was also a pilot and could not just pick anyone. So lets wait for the outcome in a months time.

He was experienced as per eye witness the plane had issues and couldn't fly.
It's God who assigned him all that he accomplished at such an early stage. God will take over from where he stopped. Continue trusting in Jesus and all will be well. May God rest his soul in eternal peace.

It seems he was an inexperienced pilot. How can a 29 year old fly the whole general. Maybe if the pilot was having more experience our general could have been alive

Ruto's pilot, Mario Magonga, had over 20 years of flying experience (including at least 8 in the military) but crashed in 2019, killing everyone onboard his helicopter, including 4 Americans. There are many factors involved in these crashes.

Youre insane. A pilot is trained, and a 29 year old can fly and has been flying. Many of the pilots who fly for emirates and ethiopia are in their 20s. But kenyans have allowed colonialism and ageism to clowd their minds. He flew all these big shots on so many trips and suddenly he is inexperienced? So how old should one be to fly a general???

@@kaykay5605definitely there's ageism but calling such a suggestion "insane" is overkill. This question will come up in investigations definitely. Good thing as you say it's a matter of hours and experience, of which at face value one would expect comes with age. Exceptionally he was outstanding and proven for his age.
