Family matters aired on ABC, then CBS from 1989 thru 1998. It was CLASSIC. It gave you a glimpse into a black middle class household in Chicago. It highlighted some of the struggles that we faces as African Americans in America, while still giving us humor and interesting story lines. It did a good job at representing the black family in a positive light.
