This is one of my favorite episodes! The aspect of family and level headedness of this girl is was amazing to see. There were 2 years of my life from 21-23 that I didn’t appreciate my family over someone that hurt me so bad. When I needed them, I called them and they came running. For me as well. My family was a hot mess of treachery and nastiness. I’m just in awe at the love and relaxed acceptance of all the family members. When we never had a childhood, adolescence, early adulthood because it was expropriated from us by our messed up mommy-dearest, they have stolen that which can never be restored. The finest Legacy IMO we can leave our kids, grandkids, greatgrands and generations yet to be born coming from this is to conduct ourselves in a manner that is a complete repudiation of the dynamics of our family of origin. I can not begin to tell y’all how many times and how MUCH I cried or teared up, I really want a quince but I realized how much they cost, I ended up choosing to just have pictures with a dress as well as my family. Even though god knows how much I want one, I understand this may not be possible but I accept it. I’m soon to be 14, so I have a ways to go.
