Honestly the reason why it’s one of the best things in FG In years is because unlike the shows usual humor it isn’t a old dead meme or is a thing that no one cares about it actually has some heart in it even if it was just a cover it’s fun and fresh and bouncy things we haven’t seen in ages and a great call back to a good thing while people who don’t know the muppets will be with joe and enjoy it anyway the people who do know it will sing along or bop along

This was a genuinely fun moment. Legit a fun scene.

Nah. Jim Henson ended the series after season 5. He knew the show would have a life in reruns. He didn't want the show to become stale. Frankly, if network presidents, executives and showrunners could understand that, it'd be all for the better of television.

yeah, but the irony is, that joke was somewhat clever because almost nobody (to my knowledge, however I could be proven wrong) even knows what wings was (until they look it up) but this here, The Muppets is pretty much known by almost everyone. but Joe doesn't even know who they are.

I legit love that they used the version of the song with Statler and Waldorf’s verse. Whenever the Muppet Show theme gets used for anything these days it’s always the early version of the song that lacks that part.

I like how Joe’s like “What the hell is everyone doing?”

I love both these shows,and I love that people can still reference muppets despite them slowly bringing out more muppets content nowadays again.

I was born in the 1994 so I never actually came across The Muppet Show growing up. I mean maybe it was on but I’ve never really came across it but hearing the theme song to the Muppets hear it sound so cool and fun and it’s super fun watching everyone just get into it

Born in 1980 and the Muppet Show was a staple in my home. One of a handful ofctimes my littlecsister and I didn't argue about what eas on.thst and every Sunday night was the Wonderful World of Disney.

I can tell there is a bit of that classic Family Guy charm returning to the newer, modern seasons. BUT it is still FAR away from even being close to the earlier seasons. but at least this scene actually managed to make me smile.

The musical segments of family guy are always the best moments

I miss these more wholesome moments from Family Guy.

Judging by his social media posts combined with the countless references in nearly everything he makes, I have a feeling Seth MacFarlane must be a huge Muppet fan or something. I mean, he literally loves Kermit so much that he proudly displayed a plush of him on the captain's desk on The Orville. I know for a fact Seth Green and obviously Jason Segel are both fans, I have feeling MacFarlane might have a similar passion for The Muppets. By the way, I do realize that Seth hasn't been writing for Family Guy for many, many years however the old episodes from back when he was still a writer were also loaded with constant Muppet homages too.
