Actually Family Guy has been canceled 3 times but was so popular they had to bring the show back. Fun fact- the creator of Family Guy was suppose to be on one of the planes that flew into one of the buildings on 9/11. But he got so drunk the night before he missed his flight.

The 9/11 joke was that when the planes crashed into the Twin Towers in NYC they were piloted by women who are "bad drivers" The guy who got mugged by an Asian that Peter was drawing was a bad caricature of the typical Asian with beady eyes, big teeth, and the hat and that they all look alike. The Kojak Bang Bang reference was from the film Foul Play where Chevy Chase/Goldie Hawn steal a cab in San Francisco not knowing a Chinese couple visiting with little English is in back. Goldie explains that Chevy is a detective like the fictional one Kojak(Telly Savalas) and they both start laughing through the high speed chase and go: Kojak Bang Bang!
