If my close friend was accused of something like that, I would think I would hesitate for at least a moment thinking- no that's not the friend I know. He wouldn't do that would he? I'm a better judge of character than that... right? I doubt criminals are out there just saying oh hey since we're friends here's a list of crimes I committed so you're in the know. So you know- people can have misconceptions of the people they think they know. If I discarded them immediately without hesitation... idk I feel that's unnatural- like people would struggle with a decision like that if there's any doubt. If you considered them a real friend anyway and you're not a bad person yourself who actually approves of heinous acts. I don't think someone defending something and then being proven wrong means they were implicit or approving of said behavior from the start- maybe they were conflicted and mistaken or tricked. But people just paint this brush on anyone who wasn't a psychic about a situation- that didn't do the crime and may not have known the truth. If it had turned out he was framed and they turned on him, they would have been painted as bad people for abandoning a long time friend to save themselves. Not everything is so black and white and it's sad to see the internet so quick to label and discard people they don't even know... just in case so they don't get targeted as well maybe? Idk the whole thing feels off and kinda sad.

They have been working together so long you can see the connection between them all, I love the entire cast of family, all phenomenal individuals. Out of them, Seth Green has to be one of my all time favourite people, every time I see him or hear him, I know I'm going to be thoroughly entertained. The more deserves more credit than he gets. Every project he is in, he is just exceptional.

I love seeing them together like this in a family dinner arrangement together

Who is Seth green

This is a phenomenon I've long been curious of but never heard anyone talk about. First noticed it as a kid watching older episodes of spongebob and fairy odd parents, and have seen it happen many times over the years.

Dude Seth Green is underrated as a voice actor

The voice thing I’ve heard from a few voice actors saying that it’s because when you do a certain voice long enough you naturally adapt to it and sort of place it at a more natural high level. So you basically still do the impression without damaging your larynx.

Has nothing to do with protecting your larynx. When you're new to doing a voice, you're a lot more concious about staying consistent with your character, and when you're deeply focused, or paying real close attention to the way every word that comes out of your mouth sounds, you end up speaking a little slower, and maybe a little flatter. When you speak slower, it naturally sounds lower. Now that doing the voices have become 2nd nature, they no longer have to think about it, which allows them to just speak like a "normal" person would. Try it, Say something slow, and it'll sound lower. Say it faster, and it'll have a higher pitch. Or just watch one of the first couple dozen episodes in 1.25x speed, and they'll sound like they do now, albeit a little flatter. Try one of their more recent episode in .75x speed, and they'll sound more like they originally did. (That's why meg sounds the exact same for the most part. Since Mila just uses her natural speaking voice, she's never had to think about how she sounds).

@@GusThePig This is absolutely spot on. Not only that, but theres probably a tech side to it like how people sound "grittier" if you listen to old vocal recordings or older shows/movies. But 100%, if you compare old family guy to new family guy, Peter usually doesn't talk as energetically as he does in the new episodes.

Confidence over time changes consistency it’s so cool to see people actually talk about this. I’ve noticed it in so many cartoons growing up. Even when they replace the voice actor with other people. So interesting!

It's more like they think the "pitch" is changing when actually people artificially tense their neck or something which muffles overtones resonating in the "upper mask" (sinus pockets) you see this when men sing in church. They all think they're bass when the most common tone for a man is a high baritone and very few men can get their overtones down to that pitch

Pitch changes when people feel safe/secure. Imagine being new to a place plus voice acting, everybody puts up a safety barrier just in case. Think about it, women have a higher pitch when they talk to a guy they like

at least as brian he definitely was, but i think the truth to seth's theory is just that they're all doing voices, and when you put on a voice you naturally pitch it down a bit but as you get comfortable with it it returns to standard pitch for a persons speaking voice, like all of the examples at this table, the newer voices don't sound abnormally high, but the old ones sound abnormally llw

It's probably because they keep trying to get better, and one way to do that is to become more animated in their voices, which is often done by both fluctuating voice more, and going higher. I think this is supported by when they do their "new" voices, they fluctuate more.

Its just the character evolving to what gets people laughing more and more and you're perfecting the voice and getting it to a spot you like it where it now stays.

It’s getting more comfortable in the role, I’ve noticed the same thing in recording music, you find a voice and the longer you use it the easier it becomes to use in more comfortable ranges confidently

It's like this in music too. Classical shows are always played at a higher pitch than the original.

I love the thought of them just casually having dinners together on the regular and just talking about their days in their characters voices.

They're like a real family. It's beautiful.

Seth Green doing Chris's voice is hilarious. If you haven't seen him reading the Revenge of the Sith script as Chris, I highly recommend it.

Every show is like this the voices get better as the show goes on

I’ve actually noticed this in a lot of cartoons and sitcoms; not only their voices get higher but the characters become more dumb or childish, too much of something that they were not at one point
