This is heartbreaking. How can anyone leave a hurt woman they just hit with a boat? I hope they turn themselves in, but that will never stop the hurt that her family will have forever. God's blessings with the family.🥀

This news hurt just hearing about, almost sick to my stomach, so imagine the family. Deepest heartfelt condolences to the family, they will never get over it, ever. A few years ago, another Miami private high school student was killed in a waterskiing/boating accident somewhere off the southern Keys, smashing into a buoy trying to avoid a boat, if I remember correctly. Anyway, it seems over the years and decades that such accidents are not uncommon. Waterskiing is an expensive, risky, and unnecessary hobby, maybe people should think twice before indulging, or at least make sure that they are in an isolated area, hard to do near the coasts of the Florida keys. Or maybe County authorities could designate certain channels of waterway for water skiing only on certain days during certain hours where no other boats may enter. Just some thoughts toward trying to prevent such tragedies.

It's 50 / 50 fault she put herself in a very dangerous situation and the other 50% goes to the boat driver.....God help her family & friends I just want to focus on people putting themselves in dangerous situations and once an accident happens they blame others

Cellphone trails. GPS location of cellphones in area at time? Traceable boat devices? Satellite images? Security cams on shore?

All the crap talk 10 days ago about the boater who allegedly hit her and didn’t stop but now 10 days later that it is said she and the driver of her boat were skiing where they weren’t supposed to, and it is apparent that the boater that hit her did not know he did and made no effort to hide, yet no one who has prematurely flapped their mouth on here has recanted their crap? It was definitely an unfortunate and tragic accident! Too young to be lost! But then again, the only requirement for dying is being alive so you have to be more careful!
People don’t care about human life anymore it’s all about me myself and I. You see it on the road but looks like land and sea.
LE will find this person. I guess there would be damage to the boat, so they know the boat his something. Probably trying to get an attorney. sounds like an accident but then they didn't stop or is it they didn't know at the time they hit something or someone? Massive lawsuit.
