As a neurodivergent person I actually need my command centre to be somewhere central, because my memory is shit and checking it every time I walk past is the only way I'm able to retain the information being shared.

Aw, thanks! I'm really new at this so here's to trying new things!

I've been wanting to set up a command centre but I just don't know where to do it. We have a small open concept home and our door goes right into our kitchen. We have hooks on the wall and a shoe rack right beside the door, but the kitchen table is so close to them that you can't get to the shoes if someone is sitting there. The only space we really have is on the door itself. It's a metal door, so we can magnet things to it, but I don't know how secure that would be. My son is autistic and almost a teen so he needs a lot of help but wants to do everything on his own. I want to be able to teach him skills that will hopefully help him to be independent as he gets older.

Great video, now I’m starting to think about where I might put a command centre in my (lovely but somewhat awkward) home.

I think everyone who shares tasks or calendars could use a communal space like this. but if the paper that comes into your home isn't overwhelming you and you're not missing important dates or bills, you might NOT need one!
