This is a good episode to note how The Ghoul is still wearing the cowboy outfit he had on when the bombs fell.

The gulper died due to the anchor/hook that the ghoul used to catch it. When Maximus pulled the squire out, the anchor came with it, ripping the gulper's insides with him. .

Yea, exactly. Also, the Gulper had already swallowed Thaddius' legs by the time Max came to help him. When Max pulled Thaddius free, he also yanked the poor critter's guts out in the process.

Maximus grabbed the anchor and was pulling on it.

The actress who plays Betty also played Blind Al in Deadpool.

Looked to me like the Gulpers insides were all made up of fingers pulling inside, never made for anything to get out, so when Max pulled Thad out, it pulled out everything. I was confused at first too, but yeah, pulled it's insides out.

it partially digested him, so as he pulled him out, he pulled the digestive track with it.. basically turning him inside out.. hence emptying its stomach contents. It's a real world form of torture, usually done by forcing something like a tie down someones throat, then yanking it out once they begin to digest it

Why did it die? Because they pulled its insides out it was gripping so hard on thaddeus and the power armor suit was so strong it pulled out the creatures tongue and stomach lining, killing it
