From what I can remember, bottlecaps are used because there's a large, but still finite supply of them that's only topped up by rare manufacture of newer ones, they were backed by water caravans and major trade hubs, their design and materials are hard for counterfeiters to replicate well, and because the NCR dollar was already heavily devalued before Shady Sands was nuked and their federal government collapsed.

Every single actor was great in this series. Hell, Erick Estrada was great. Between the casting choices and the actors delivering, it was astounding acting for a Prime series.

The great thing about the vault 4 reveal is how it flips the expectations after all the setup from the previous episodes. For fans of the game, we're very aware of the trope of effed up vaults so it's an even bigger twist (for me anyway) on that added expectation that "oh here we go another effed up vault, this won't end well" but instead of making it a complete tragedy, the current dwellers eventually learned how to live with it in a fairly good society. Life, uh... finds a way, after all.

Morgan's Svengali/Svenghoulie joke is unappreciated.

I've been a loooong time fan of Fallout, and I feel the same way about this series about the MCU: the MCU wasn't exactly made for me/Marvel comic readers, but it so successfully borrowed from the source material that I completely and fully understand why people love it. Like MCU, this Fallout series really focused on the two most important things: adopt the general tone that the original fans fell in love with but more importantly MADE A GOOD STORY ON IT'S OWN. This is easily one of the most successful adaptations of a video game franchise ever. If they keep on doing what they're doing, they'll have years to draw on the multi-billion dollar franchise.

People have probably already said this, but Dogmeat is the name given to various dog characters you meet throughout the games. They're not necessarily always the same dog, but the name transcends throughout the series. It's such a genius move on the writers part to have Cooper be the one give that name because it does sound like something a callous person (or in this case a person who's trying to emotionally detach himself as much as he can from attachments, let alone a reminder of his original beloved dog) would say.

My grandma and I used to watch Svenghoulie every Saturday, good times :)

I've seen so many reactors not even blink at Erik Estrada in this episode. No respect on this man's name anymore. Not even anybody saying "Hey! That guy sounds like Marco from Sealab 2021!" Kids these days...

Dog meat is the name of all the various German Shepherd’s in the game.

Its weird thinking there are people watching that wouldn't understand A/S/L, I feel old Edit: Norm and the vault story are the best part of the show IMO. I didn't think Norm would be all that important but he grew into my favorite character real fast

Of all the hard-R gore in this series, that foot reveal grossed out everyone. Thank you for being the only reactors to call out Monty Python in the vault rescue scene! 👍 Sadly, gabortions aren't allowed after 12 weeks and it's been 200 years.

the opening scene of this episode, with Erik Estrada (from CHiPs), is very similar to that of the villain's introduction in the 1966 film "the good, the bad and the ugly".

I think the implication in the poisoning of the raider prisoners is that Betty did it somewhat as a flex, but also to deny any of the 33ers information about the surface I think one of the slightly more subtle details I really enjoy about this season is how Lucy and Maximus’s tryst is innocent and (maybe as such) it’s not supposed to endure; but it’s not like dwelled on too hard as if it needed to be some grandiloquent Romeo and Juliet

I think it was Steph, done with the knowledge but not the consent from Betty. It may have even been a bit of a power move on her part knowing that Betty would be forced to 'exile' her to her own overseer position. I think Betty chose all the rejects and potential troublemakers to send with her, with the exception of Norm that she saw potential in grooming given his cleverness and potentially ruthless demeanor. Putting him in charge of feeding the prisoners was her own little experiment of seeing what he would do.

@@Dilligff maybe, but I never saw Betty and Steph at odds on even this issue, and Steph was always going to be overseer seeing as she was originally from 31 It works in Betty’s favor regardless seeing as they are dealt w/ once a 31er is back in charge

38:30 Fallout 76’s $12/month subscription just adds some things like extra storage, game currency, and free cosmetic item skins, it’s not necessary to actually play the game. I’ve been playing on and off since launch and while it still has some issues, it’s a really good game right now.

You don’t need to pay for 76 that’s only if you want some extra stuff it’s completely optional.

I need a Rick and Morty episode where they visit this vault and Rick asks why the overseer sounds like Jerry. XD

Why does the thumbnail say 7 but the title say 6?

You can play Fallout 76 for free (I just started playing it myself for the first time) but I think some boosted version of it may cost money, called "Fallout 1st".
