For people a smidge confused, the reason the voice is in Italian is that it's the fastest dialogue for Doc Mitchell and his dialogue is unskippable. The Courier started with a few weapons from DLC, so that's why he has a grenade launcher and a few items at the start beyond what Doc Mitchell gives him. The guy is going for Yes Man ending, considering it needs just a few things and not a ton of work. (Legion and NCR needs tons of quests and ground to cover so it's faster to do this.) The way he's gliding through the world is a glitch that requires you to have a specific gun that Chet sells and the usage of fast travel, if I'm not mistaken. The reason they're visiting all the casinos and specific areas is because Yes Man requires you to meet certain factions to see if they're worthy of saving or helping. It's fastest to meet most, if not all, factions before doing Yes Man. They upgraded a few of their perks, Speech, specifically to ensure they could talk Langius down during the Caesar part of the Hoover Dam fight, and probably President Kim. Really, you could go NV without killing more than one person; even Benny (if you're a woman with the Black Widow perk), so it's not terribly surprising that the guy only killed three people. (The one person would be House, if doing Yes Man). All in all, crazy run. Apologies if I missed or was wrong about something.

Why does his timer clock stop on loading screens? That doesn't seem right for a legitimate speedrun, they never cut loading screens out of any other game I know of that is run for speed, even games like the Hitman series don't cut out loading screens even though some are trmendously long.

I'm more impress that he manage to pull this off without the game crash every 2 loading screen on vanilla

One of the only mods allowed in speed runs is a stability mod that stops the game from crashing as frequently.

6:00 I'm just imagining this trooper and Vulpes shoving each other out of the way trying to be the first to contact this mad god who was just seen flying across the Mojave at Mach 1

In New Vegas, 1 hour is two real time minutes. Benny dies 4 minutes into the video. Imagine you shoot someone dead in a ditch in the middle of the desert and 2 hours later they show up at your place in their underwear firing a grenade launcher directly into your skull.

Doc Mitchell said you'd been out cold a couple of days. It's more horrifying if you think about it. A dude you shot dead and buried alive, just reappears a couple days later flying through the air like the B-29 in lake mead.

I know it's a good speed run when I can't even visually process what's happening for half the video, ha! Amazing!

When the battle for hoover dam is in 8 min and you got some things to do first.

I've seen more loading screens in 9 minutes than in my 800h in game. 10/10

Courier 6 manages to take controll over entire Italy for hust 8.59 minutes, incredible

Fun fact:in the Italian version of new Vegas, Mr house is voiced by Mino Caprio who also is the Italian voice of Peter Griffin.

I remember back when the record was around 42 minutes, and I did a speedrun once in about 80 just for fun and completely from memory with no retries. Now the record is sub 9 minutes. This is on another dimension. Good work.

Not sure how it can count as a record if you are allowed to cheat. Speeding around the map like that is cheating. Couldn't I just futz with the console commands a bit and "speedrun" the game in two minutes by skipping the quest stages till the end? How is that different lol. Cheating is cheating

Most normal Fallout new Vegas glitches

Step 1: Learn to fly, lol

Given that every hour ingame is 2 minutes, that means that fateful morning after benny shot him in the head, it only took 2 hours for benny to die, less than 3 for house to die. That was followed by 13 hours straight of staring into a wall ignoring Yes Man, and in 1 more hour New Vegas was independent. Doc Mitchell created a supersoldier that dismantled a war brewing for a decade by dinnertime

Immersion broken. Doc didn’t feed him as soon as he woke up.

This was a great game growing up. Was awesome watching this
