When I first played Fallout, it was Fallout 1 and misreading the game made me think that Nuka Cola was both rare and never respawned, so I hoarded every bottle in a footlocker in the BoS bunker. Ever since it's been my Fallout tradition to play as a character that is a Nuka Cola superfan but never drinks it, just keeps it all in a footlocker somewhere in the world.

If you listen to pirate radio in fo76 you can even hear radio dramas that are nuka cola ads violently slandering vim soda.

Never forget that when the Nuka Girl rocket suit was released as a Halloween costume, stores could not keep up with demand because it was so insanely popular.

Not only is nuka cola a parody of hersheys/coca cola but i remember years ago reading something about nuka cola beating out coca cola from the market along with a couple other real world brands but it either didnt make it into canon due to copyright issues or it was in an early game and it was removed for copyright reasons.

I remember 2010 playing fnv for the first time and thinking that sunsets were better than nukas...til i realized they are pretty damn close stat wise. It was about that time i stopped using anything besides stimpaks and radaway anyways so theres a nuka machine and a sunset machine in the lucky 38 chock full of the drinks i pick up but never use.

I saw on an info screen during loading a game, it said they changed the bottle design to the rocket shaped bottles after a competitor sued them for using their curvy shaped bottles. i believe that competitor to be the Original Coca Cola company.

It's so popular in fact it's popular outside of it's universe.

They made a whole ass amusement park 6 years after the founding of the company

The reason for this is that Quantum isn't really supposed to be drank, it's a modified version of a government funded weapon. Actual Nuka Cola has, IIRC, 120% the daily amount of sugar, so it isn't much better lol. Fallout lore is pretty weird

My favourite part about the quantums was reading about how the first test batches pretty much ended the people testing them, thanks to the radioactive ingredient they added to quantums (the advertisment gimmick was that it made your pee glow,, as well as making the drink glow as well)

We need a pre war fallout game based on the rise of nuka cola where you play as one of the mercenaries to hunt down competitors lmaoooo

It's also worth noting, per Fallout Tactics, Nuka Cola changed up their flavor at one point, which ended up being a total flop, after which they went back and called it Nuka Cola Classic, a parallel to real-world Coca Cola history

Sunset was my favorite simply for the start bottle caps side quest.

I find it comforting that so many still enjoy FO4 as much as I do. Then I discovered in game roleplay. This has made it 100X better. Simply having a mindset during the entire game is fun. I err on the side of good so I preserve human life. Extra safe places for humans to exist. We do tolerate robot kind and synths too 😁

Did you know that whilst under the effect of jet, the jet pack is more effective? You fall slower, and move faster, which allows you to fly better, also you can fly basically indefinitely if you have aid which restores AP in bursts.

Interestingly, since the Fallout world only diverges from our own after 1945, that means that Coca-Cola definitely existed and was a thing for more than 50 years at that point. Considering Nuka Cola wasn't created until 2044, it was probably still the most popular Soft Drink up to that point.
