Without the Brotherhood who's patrols clear the streets. Abominations, mutants, raiders, enclave and the institute would run amok. The Brotherhood's patrols and missions is to procure and secure tech so these evils dont misuse them. And on each procuring operation to any abandon building for tech or schematics. There is always hostile mirelurks, ghouls, Yao Gui, super mutants Bandits, highwaymen, raiders or deathclaws in the way. The Brotherhood terminate these threats and procure the technology to keep evil from using them to kill mankind. And for the Brotherhood to use these tech to hunt down and exterminate the hostile Enclave, the Institute, raider gangs and mutated abominations. In so killing all these hostile threats the Wasteland of America, the people will be safe and won't be slaughtered by the creatures, monsters and evil men of the Wasteland who would kill or reduce the population of mankind. Through war and tech collection. The Brotherhood of Steel is mankind's salvation. To save lives by the millions. By killing ghouls, super mutants, deathclaws or anything else by the millions. There's no doubt in my mind the Brotherhood of steel is the best hope for humanity. The East Coast Brotherhood anyway. West coast Brotherhood are screwed. The Appalachian, Midwest, Commonwealth and Capital Wasteland Brotherhood actively hunt all things evil and hostile and Murderous. Killing them and recruiting locals. West coast Brotherhood are useless tech hoarders. Who are always isolated and rarely go out. Without the Brotherhood however overall. Misuse technology as enclave and institute as demonstrated would run amok killing millions. And without the Brotherhood then mutants would run amok slaughtering thousands of innocents. The brotherhood are the heirs of the United States army. And they've demonstrated the same goal as the predecessor. The Army protects the Americans. The brotherhood rather indirectly and unintentionally or not. They too protect the Americans. Same heroes. Same honor. Truly. The brotherhood are heroes. We don't deserve them. Growing up and seeing how ai is stealing artist's works and animations to make things "easier" while neglecting quality which also resulted to some artists ending up getting less costumers, yeah, the Brotherhood is right.
