When I was a kid my father tested out his new lathe by making me a baseball bat. It was beautiful, well formed, good weight, varnished to perfection, it was wonderful. What we didn't know was that there was a large crack in the center, running almost all the way down the bat. First time I really got a good hit on a ball, it shattered into a hundred pieces. I was devastated.

So, if we're going to differentiate torches between plasma and acetylene, then the same can be said of power hammers. They don't have a steam powered one, so power hammer is out.

Nail bats, while intimidating, have horrible sustainability as a weapon. Each hit makes it less effective and just having the nails in it make it structurally less durable

But that's point in-game tbh. Make something plain looking, in this case a regular baseball bat, into something scary that might make raiders think twice about attacking you. You may not intimidate a Super Mutant or a Deathclaw but it may scare off potential trouble makers and/or chem addicts.

Same, I'm super jealous that they now own a functioning Kremvh's Tooth and I don't. Well, functioning as in it's a working machete; it's not irradiated like Kremvh's Tooth, but that's probably for the best. Such a cool build. Although I still want to see them build the shiskebob.

I've been a HUGE Fallout fan since the original game, over 20 years and counting. Thank you for an awesome episode :) You all did an excellent job. The addition of the wrought iron nails gave the nail bat an extra nasty touch. And how do I get one of the Revolutionary Sabres? That would make an impressive addition to my collection.

My dad once made a baseball bat for me on a wood lathe. I still have it, to this day. Seeing the wooden bat being shaped brought back good memories of days gone by with my father. RIP Dad.

The reason I like this series so much is that it has reality television quality without the drama. Usually in a show like this there'd be a fuss about deadlines or some infighting or someone messing up really badly, but on here it's just people doing something that they do well in a really engaging and interesting way. Thank you for making something like this and not falling into the predecessor's poorly chosen methods.

Every time I see some using a cutting torch, it makes me think of B. A. Barracus off The A Team lol

I really enjoy this video because you can really see the years of craftsmanship that John and Kerry have doing everything the hard way. Not like with Matt who's had all the cool, new, advanced tools. Not to knock Matt's skills though.

Why not the super sledge?

There is a weapon in the book titled, 5 and the End of Magic. Actually there are several cool weapons in the story, but the one that is metal worthy is call the Sound Sword. From what I can tell by its discription, it seems to be a large Tuning Fork, that has been crafted into a long sword. Each of the forks outer ends are sharpend... There is also a piece that runs up and down the center of the two forks that can change the pitch of the sound it makes when struck, to both high and low sounding notes. The is where the magic of the sword comes to life. When the sword is struc, it begins to vibrate like a tuning fork, but these sound are very powerful and can shatter stone and crush the ear drumbs of those the sword is pointed at. I know much is fiction and not possible, but it would be cool to see a sword that can produce melodic sounds of any kind.

it is a show on history channel that was a lot of forging and ilya was on it he won obviously XD i think it may of been just before he joined man at arms edited sorry my mistake XD

other than that really cool weapons good job you know what your doing when it comes to new blacksmithing techniques

you know, might be dumb, but i would like that they add a small icon that shows how long a step of a process took like taking off the paint from the baseball bat, how much time was spent just for it
