Purchased a Bloodied Quantum Thirst Zapper from a veteran player a few days ago... I proceeded to spend 40K caps on nuka-cola quantum bottles and now I have 3500 ammo for this weapon :) SO MUCH FUN

Never dawned on me that it was the self-inflicted stagger that was preventing the reloads. Very fun weapon, a favorite for moonshine or something like distant thunder. Also these explosions are done right, not blinding everyone.

I have a good friend that I team up with almost every day. Near the end of our sessions somebody will break out the Thirst Quencher and we chase each other up, down, over, under, and through - love these water pistol fights!!

This would be a good weapon to save for specifically tanky enemies or big groups of enemies. The weight is virtually nothing which makes it basically a busted pocket M79 if you can keep up with the costly ammo.

Get a bot, it gets you a variety of Nuka Cola regularly.

I've got a set of each thirst zapper sitting around with bloodied on each of them. Every once in a while I run around with them using a full explosives build, even use an instigating version of the water one for a grenade build. It's extremely silly and impractical, but I don't regret those legendary modules at all.

Just three starred one two days ago, with the marsupial mutation and explosive perks you are basically a God. 😂

I run an Instigating / +25% Aiming Dmg Thirst Zapper on my Nuka only character. You can do a funny combo with Nuka-nades by aim shooting where the grenade lands and doubling up on explosions. I run OE full health PA so I can just throw nades at my feet and don't care. Because it is based on Explosion perks and not gunslinger, you can easily run it with primarily melee as your backup or AOE option. At least in PA, I stopped really caring about reduced fusion core usage, so I had the Int slots.

If you think it is ridiculous already, you should try throwing in a Tesla Science 3 and a Bobblehead: Explosive.

So basically, this is a stealth grenade launcher? Nice!

I'm selling a nonmodded one for 600 caps with one round of weaponized Nuka Cola.

i wish it had a special kind of interaction with Cola Nut. like maybe you don't get staggered by the explosions or something

I've been using a thirst zapper for a while. Mine is mutant's, crit damage. It's fun. You can double shot it if you aim right after shooting while in first person and the second shot doesn't even consume ammo. Now that i have everything i want from the nukacade, i spend all my points on ammo. I've crafted some too. Have like 2600 shots for it stored

Quantum mushroom clouds for the win, fun weapon.

I have an anti-armor, 50% crit damage one. I build vats critical, switch to Quantum Zapper and melt the entire room

Nuka collectron will help with ammo. But it is hardly worth it, as you said it basically needs it's own build which kind of sucks.

I just got one from a player vender. Just a fun one. But they can do damage too.... wow

This is more like a fun weapon, been using for a long time in my pistol build and it is fun to use. The downside that i do not like is that nuka grenade dose damage to enemies even threw walls , but this does not. I still think this is a must in pistol build with the AB . One for area damage and the other for single targets.

@@deadku6150 no but you use demoliton expert and grenedier to boost AB damage and thirst zapper. So it is good to mix those in a build. TZ For area and AB For single target. Thanks to the AB nerf and it using a lot of AP per shot, it is good to have some area weapon to kill off a lot of small fries faster.

Maybe a bloodied or instigating would work even better with it

I actually use this thing as my secondary on my grenade launcher build. I stopped using grenadier theres really no reason for it unless you want to hurt yourself.

I have an instigating one that i basically gave up on when i ran out of ammo for it.

All you need for armor is at least one or 2 pieces of assassins so you take less damage from self damage.

I wonder if you could charge your crits with a 10mm pistol then switch to the Thirst Zapper for the crit. Then switch back?

Yep.

My Anti-Armor one goes up to 1000+ with right perks.

Explosive weapon damage being affected by range makes about zero sense.

I love mine.

Not in ammo boxes or any containers as far as I can tell. I never tried it in daily ops or expeditions, so I don't know about that.

I haven't tried in DO, but Expeditions don't give ammo for it.

I assume daily ops would be the same then.

With this, you VERY quickly run out of things to buy that are worth a darn from that vendor, and there's a fairly low cap for that currency, so there's a good shot most people are sitting at capacity for that currency. So just buy the quantum ammo, get your friends to buy the ammo...

I need to look at these. Can you get two shot?

generally if you scrap a couple of them you will learn how to craft them so you never have to buy them again. Thats very helpful if you want to roll legendarys, craft a bunch roll them and scrip the junk ones to get some scrip back.

Assassins Armor does not mitigate Self Damage - The PVPers that toss Nuka Mines in your camp are using a MOD for Un-limited Health - That is CHEATING🤣🤣
