I use a fixer as my primary, and it's definitely a great gun- a guy gave me my first one when I was just starting out, so now whenever I log in I have a quick look at the map and go and drop a new fixer off for any newer players if they want it.

Yeah my main is a quad vats crits , reload with the 38 auto receiver. Does the job nicely on most enemies and I have my q2525 railway for anything heavier

I do this too! Don't forget you can get a free one by doing the Lowe Down quests. I reccomend doind that as soon as you get to L20 as it will help you massively until you can craft/affoerd a higher level one, tho I do put them in my vendors really cheap.

That’s actually a great idea! I have the fixer plan and have about 15 in my vendor from unwanted rolls. I usually drop supplies but this is great. What level fixers do you usually drop?

Some random hero dropped a fixer and a full set of deep pocketed BOS armor when I was level 30. That had a huge impact on not just my gameplay, but at my mindset towards the community as well.

I got a Bloodied explo -25 vats cost. But its boring after 1000 hours. Now im play handmade 2 shot explo

Minigun (non shredder) is underrated. It's accuracy at high range is unmatched for a heavy gun. Ammo is super light and cheap. I use foundation's vengeance regularly

Dude the community is so so wholesome. Many a times I’ve walked past a level 200+ at sub level 50 and they’ve given me the craziest of things 😂 one man’s trash is another man’s treasure XD

I think the Enclave plasma rifle deserves a spot on here considering you don't need anything special to get it. The flamer version is the most powerful weapon in the entire game and the sniper rifle version is one of the best sniper rifles in the game. It has massive range and one shots pretty much everything at range with the sneak bonus you get and you don't even have to charge it. In fact it has a pretty large magazine. What's also really cool is that the flamer (which is auto) and the semi auto rifle versions all use rifleman perks so that can save you up to 9 perk card slots if you build your character around those weapons and other rifleman weapons.

My favs that I use as a Energy Tank Build: Enclave Plasma Flamer (for Ghuls and other fast aproaching Enemies), Plasma Caster Quad and Inspired (2000dmg/shot)(for VATS), Holly Fire Flamer (for Herds), Double-shot Alien Blaster with Ice (universal patrol gun for VATS), Vampire Gatling Plasma (Bosses), Ultracite Laser Pistol Quad with 25% extra speed (Funny sound and proiectiles), Vampire Gatling Machine Gun (people enemies), Vampire Chain Saw (if mele reqailed eg in d.ops.).

I use the fixer and gause . The gause definitely takes some getting used to when charging each shot, but it works very well to wipe out most enemies from a distance.

Get a Kabloom. That shotgun is Amazing! It has MASSIVE range and you don't have to be accurate. The explosion gives the enemy poison damage so get close and stand back and let the poison work. It's an awesome crowd damage device.

Yeah, gatling, minigun, and chainsaw are my EDC. That way I don't need to carry different ammo types. I switch out to handmade only when doing stealth missions.

Never used a chainsaw, my PA character alternates between minigun shredder and autoaxe. Been having a lot of fun with AGL recently, both NukaLauncher and a Two Shot Faster Fire Rate Rapid Reload one I got somewhere.

I bought my first fixer plan for 4975 caps. I rolled a new character and got the plan from a mutated event right at level 50. Occasionally I put a plain one up for 69 caps and hope some needy soul stops by and gets it. The one gun I like for a variety of reasons is the Dragon. I haven't had one drop on this play through. On my first character I bet I got 8 or 9 of them by level 250. I just think it's fun to use.

Enclave flamer is very powerful indeed :)

My best Fixer was a Quad Explosive and 2-shot explosive and both with 25% ROF increase. Such a great stealth commando gun.

Although I too use it for damage boostt; Explosive ammo isn’t good for stealth build. It gives you away. Your stealth is voided.

Chainsaw for emergency’s. Tesla rifle for tagging at events. And thirdly whatever your preferred weapon is. For me, gauss shotgun. For many others, Fixer. You do you, having fun is the most important part.

Flaming Chainsaw also works with Friendly Fire Perk Card. Its very helpful in events like Radiation Rumble.

I scored a great chainsaw roll on my very first one... 50% Anti-armor, 40% attack damage, breaks 50% slower. I use it most and built my first character around melee because of it.

Vamps Chainsaw is my primary. Explosive 50 cal for second. Never have to use stimpaks with full health!

Mine are my two Hadmades. One is a Hunter with a basic scope for upclose and personal. The other is set up more like a sniper with a night vision scope and is a mutation build. The Cold Shoulder shotgun, which is my primary along with my Hunter and Mutation Flamer Chainsaw. Occasionally I'll use Mutation Gatling too

A cool hack to get mini gun ammo is to use a gatling gun as your primary and mini as your backup. The gatling will make tons of 5mm ammo to spawn. And I mean tons.

How did you get your damage on your flamer so high?

Quick note on the mini gun (with the shredder) is that when using it you deal very high damage so it is powerful but what I got annoyed with is it must be used in melee range which means that enemies who melee attack you will stagger you and this can happen multiple times in a row and every time you get staggered the shredder stops spinning and does no damage!! This feels really off putting and janky it just gets irritating after a while, well for me anyway so just remember this and remember you can die if you get caught in this stagger loop if your low health since your not killing off enemies 😢

@@4meMark I go for the damage with my.bloodoed build. +15 on all stats from a full set of unyielding means the hit % isn't as important as max damage. Stack Eagle Eyes mutation and Blight Soup and Overload and BOOM

I got the fixer at a low lvl from the encryptid event not realizing I couldnt upgrade the level, then saw you can craft it. Did all the research and found out redoing the encryptid even was pretty difficult so I just started on the main missions. Luckily I swapped servers because I couldn’t find what I needed on my current one, and shortly after someone started the event again and I got lucky and had the plan drop that time. It’s still 5 lvls low so it’s not as great as it could be, but it’s better than my lever action one that’s 10 below my lvl, I was struggling to kill with that since it shoots a lot slower with less ammo too.

I've been rolling for a vampires basher for a week now, I've been scouring player vendors with max caps in the hopes that someone might have one

they trade v/bash miniguns for 4x ~ 8x max caps value. Your chances of finding one is extremely low.

After liking shotgun at lower levels because of the knock-down effect, I've settled on the Fixer. I've managed to collect one that has plus 50% damage for each of the following: Super Mutants, Robots, Mirelurks/Bugs, Scorched, and Humans. I have an anti-armor for anything that doesn't fit those categories, but generally +50% specific is usually better (depending on the gun, I have think like rapid fire, etc. as well). One that I'm surprised no one has mentioned, though, is the Grenade Launcher. I pull out my Nuka Launcher with an Explosive focused build for things like the Moonshine Jamboree that have crowds of critters.

You will fall in love again with the shotgun if you try out the cold shoulder. It's the best shotgun in the game by a MILE. It can solo Earle pretty quickly as Femos demonstrated.

@@soangry The shotguns do lose damage quickly from distance but I definitely don't need to be point blank. It requires a different play style but that's what makes it fun IMO. If every weapon was great at range and close up and did tons of damage regardless the weapons would get pretty boring pretty quickly.

whats your build in the beginning with the handmade??? you have so much ap and your damage numbers are higher than my bloodied explosive one

These are all cool, but my stealth commando build don’t work for it. I always end up crafting badass heavy weapons just to sell for fun

Two Shot Ultracite Gatling Plasma. Thing has carried me through more than 100 levels. That, and a decent Auto Fixer.

My standard lineup is a Fixer, Nuka Launcher, Cold Shoulder and Chainsaw.

I have a vampyric flaming chainsaw. I'm now immortal. I used some other guns over time but the ammo crafting is such a hassle, and I don't want to play daily ops, it's boring, just for the ammo. Rifle builds also need perks in things other then strenght... and guess what's needed to carry all that loot home? So I've been playing most of the game as a melee build, bloodied grognak axe before I found the chainsaw. Any kind of gun feels like I'm putting myself in a disadventage, can't carry as much and I need to craft ammo every half hour. I'll try to roll a vampyric minigun though, that seems like a nice though tiny chang in gameplay.

Havent had to craft ammo in AGES and I mainly use meta FFR weapons. There's something extremely wrong with your build if you have ammo issues because most enemies in the game die within 1-4 shots on average. Kill your enemies efficiently and you'll reduce that ammo consumption drastically.

And having to switch between builds is just annoying so I don't play with an optimised build for damage. I think also I have over 70 levels, that I can spend on perkcards, but I don't need them for anything so they just keep sitting there. Maybe if I find some new weapon in different class I want to try out I could buy new perks that fit that class. But since you want to carry as much as possible because of the stupid limits on everything there is little point in playing anything besides a build that is strenght based. In my opinion off course

@@joostborst I have a total of more than 1000 chems on me at all times, 10 000 assorted ammo and 100 explosive ammo. More than 15 weapons and over 200+ assorted grenades yet I don't find an issue with weight. It hovers around 380-390 / 420 and I have plenty space left to loot event drops without getting overloaded... I'm not doing the most damage with my build now but I can kill any enemy in the game with heavies/commandos/pistols/melee easily with my substandard build and still keep it ammo efficient. And like there's backpack mods and armor pieces you can get to reduce the weight of your stuff??? Plenty options for weight management.

@@BxBxProductions At the moment I'm around 300 carry weight. If I'm not using the chainsaw I'm switching between a plasma caster and gauss shotgun. They take about 3-6 shots to kill things. But I just crafted them to try something new so I don't have any perks to make them better on purpose. Still that means that on most events I'm spending more ammo then I'm getting back from looting. So I need to make ammo after a lot of events. Now I need to go out and find/buy certain ingredients/ materials to able to craft the right ammo type. Sometimes that gets annoying. If I sell/ scrap and store everything I'm not needing after an event I'm at about 150/300 weight. I don't have FO1st so I also need to manage my stash. I could maybe grind for the bigger backpack, or pray that I craft legendary items that reduce weight.

I actually makes and legendary Fixers to sell in my shop. Only sell the ones with a good first star; ie Bloodied, AA, Mutant, Junkie, Quad, 2Shot, Vamp, and Aristocrat. The price is usually 333, 420, 666, and 777 depending on the first two stars. If it gets explosive or a good 25 2star; then their price gets higher. If I get one of those on a Bloodied; then the price shoots over 1k. Not one to put up trash legendaries at high prices; mostly because I want my stuff to sell. I did the same with Handmades but they never sold as well as Fixers.

The Guess Rifle is my favorite, one shot kills and drop in a Daily Op where they don't have the "enhance perception" and you can collect all the ammo you will ever need😅

i used to primarily use a bloodied explosive fixer but a ehile back i got a bloodied weapon speed enclave flamer which is a beast. ive also got an anti armour weapon speed enclave flamer but I have yet to try it

All the guns are based off your rank. If you're a level 770, you're gonna have good guns. But if you're starting off the game you're gonna have trash guns.

To me, nothing is more simple than an expedition. It’s straightforward to the point and the rewards are always great.

Tesla, gauss rifle, agl, enclave flamer, chainsaw, gamma gun are what i carry. Can't leave home w/o those..lol

I always get out with two fixer - B/25/25 for precision and damage and Q/25/25 for crowd control. Then I have my Quad Tchoo Tchoo gun the Railway, a Bloodied Chainsaw, a Quad Tesla, a Quad Cryo for the queen and too many drugs for my liking haha

My favorite is the MG42 LMG. With the best setup, it lays down nearly every foe instantly (except the main bosses of course). It's got its downsides (low mag capacity, waiting for dead bodies to hit the floor in order to connect with those behind it, a medium range) but it's an absolute terror. Most deadly machine gun in the game, depending on what you're shooting and how you play. Pretty slept on too, don't see many people use it but that makes it even cooler. Just a joy to use, get you one.

V/25FFR/25V Fixer for all around usage. Because staying alive is more important than max damage to me. And I aggro everything. Will use a B/50C/25V fixer for bosses. Switch to vamp when I am taking damage, or when for example, planning ahead on Titan smash. Pop off some shots while he is amping up to smash, I get hit by titan smash, I regen health. Crits, crits and more crits = Fixer. Why I chose a +50% crit damage over 25 Fast Fire Rate. I will not ever leave Vampires. Like I said, i aggro to much to NOT use a vampires. I tend to stay away from explosive guns. ESPECIALLY a Railway. LOL, that thing must break SOOOO much and SOOO fast. Explosive weapons break faster, FYI.

Finally a best weapons video that isn't the gauss weapons from factions, or gold bullion and stamp bought weapons. Like, we know those are dope, and they're in every video lmao. These ate very practical

My Commando PA build (specialiced in critical) with automatic Railway rifle (x4 Mag, less AP cost and higher shoot speed) erase the enemies, 250-350 normal damage and 900-1150 crit vs supermutants lv 100. A beast! Secundary weapon Nuka Launcher.

I'm a new player, started less than a month ago, solo, without any help, but already made almost 150 lvl, made secret services body armour with jetpack and got a good backpack. I can tell: Cold shoulder - helped me a lot, even without Bloodied build. I also noticed, the Railway gun are insanely strong.

@@BxBxProductions some of us aren't all the way about "meta" I actually take a quad 50 more chance to hit with 2 stars over a 3 Quad. Currently, I'm playing plasma caster AA50c25 for boss fighting and another instigating 50 vats 25 less ap for running around landing oneshots on basically everything with free ammo from daily ops and no drugs / Books. Still do earl and others easily, same for most évents, even alone. So i think it's mostly about what you like to use. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Wanna pull highest dps ? Need some boosts from drugs, alcohol and maybe a book, or even some daily quests. I Guess.

TS/FFR/15r AB, TS/FFR/25v cryo, TS/50c/15r GP, AA50c25v .50cal, Enclave Flamer Pistol, TS/50c/15r Gamma, Q/50h/25v non lobber and TS/50limb/Ghost lobber tesla. Been experimenting with fast firing Heavies with VATs rolls on em and theyre pretty good. Had the metas too long they started to get boring. Most fun I had with a weapon was surprisingly the Tesla Lobber even though the damage was utter crap and the absolute insane things i had to trade for it.

Also AAE and TSE .50 aren't Bad for running around, and to be honest, that shredder V2525 minigun without ammo is almost as good as a chainsaw. But the most funny thing i got is maybe that instigating baseball bat, that one shot without any mêlée build if you go sneaky 😂

I love my unbreakable B2525 Fixers and my QE25 Fixer. That's about all I use besides if I am in rad rumble then out comes my Q2590 auto Tesla. If I get bored of the usual fixers I can switch over to my AA2515 Enclave w/ Aligned Flamer mod, stabilized stock and Reflex sights. I am a bloody build as well.

While exploring I got the fixer after discovering vault 63, I was about level 42 or so and had no idea it is a good gun, and sold it at a vendor. Paying for my mistakes, now I gotta find one again to try and upgrade it

Another weapon is a bloodied or mutant slayer lever action with increased fire or explosive. It’s perfect when farming Wes tech. You don’t burn through ammo and kills enemy in one or two shots.

I went into Whitespring mall crafting room and somebody had dropped 5 fixers. Looked around, nobody there, mine now! Never a fixer fan though. My mains are 50 cal Vampires explosive 50% VATS chance, Vampires chainsaw and primed Longshot. Keep my Holy Fire on standby for the really tough ones!

I'm gonna be picking up that gauss rifle, I've made a rifle build, and the higher the level I'm reaching, I need to be outputting more damage, I'm currently on lvl 28 so not too many more levels but for right now I'll be stuck to short ranged hunting rifles

As a new player I'm a Chainsaw bloody build main & it's amazing, I just melt everything faster than Most people especially in events. It took me a week to hit lvl 200 Only problem im having is that I have to run to everything to kill it and have to use a secondary weapon for flying mobs 😅and the fact the chainsaw has a small bug or glitch where in third person it doesn't do damage on occasion to enemirs if I press attack button to quickly, you have to go to first person view or put the weapon away to fix the issue. At least it's a problem on the steam version using a controller. But other than that the chainsaw is my favorite weapons and I've made so many caps from selling all the ammo I don't use. Melee builds are amazing!

It is an atomic shop weapon skin. I don’t see it in there often so when it is it’s a must grab as it’s the only Service Rifle lookalike in the game.

Quad Fixer ultracite ammo my primary secondary for close in enclave plasma fame this is probably the best short range weapon period .how it wasn't in your top 5 shame 😂 Mods for it ridiculously hard to get .but if you get flamer mod if you being hoarded the plasma flamer decimates them it both offensive and defensive weapon

Lvl 32 and havent seen anything like then so a lvl 1 10mm pistol and lvl 5 shotgun are what keep me alive . Though I only started 2 days ago .

I think the mini gun is underrated I got some pretty good mods on it and it is really good

Same here, Fixer is a great wep but I dislike the Combat rifle and much prefer the Handmade (with quadro ammo cap and a silencer, it is just awesome as a Commando with stealth armor and related perks. Another nod for Gauss Rifle or even Gauss Pistol or shotty, they are all very powerful and fun to use but the one that takes the cake for me is either the Tesla Gun (again with quad ammo cap) or the Enclave Plasma Rifle, both shred thru enemies like butter!

I’ve used fixers since I got it and even when legacies were a thing. I could stay on par with legacies. I love my fixers with faster fire rate excepted on my quad

my go to "everything must turn into paste" weapon for over a year now has been a quad explosive railway i found back when legacy abuse was still a thing. i can solo earle with just that weapon in about 4 to 5 minutes and 1k-1.3k spikes. depends on how many of the mobs rush me though.

Railway rifle with quad, 25 % fire rate and 25 % reduced ap costs. Took me a looong time rolling it but you don't even need bloody to deal high dmg with this one

I have a set that I use - Holy fire is my main - QE Gat gun (used to be my main) secondary and always have the Quad Tesla and bloodied chainsaw on standby.

I run quad 50 , with perks and psychobuff hits 82 damage high fire rate just hold the trigger, gauss minigun with Penta barrel Tesla vampire. And my first killer, foundations vengeance.

No enclave weapons or Railway rifle? Dang... The Railway rifle still kicks the bejesus out of most anything.

Anti armor, exploding bullets Fixer for me. With a sneak build plus suppressor, I just dont die.

I like to use The Fixer and Tesla Rifle the most. I will also use a mini gun as well for certain legendary creatures. It is true though the Fallout community is a good community and are always willing to help

I use the Foundation's Vengeance usually as my daily driver. I also use the Holy Fire.

I have a fixer with explosives and damage buff plus ap reduction and gave it to my brother. He’s set now.

I main a suppressed guass rifle , had it 2 shot then after the nerfing i got a instagating, great for stealth builds, i can down a deathclaw in about 3 shots regaurldess of health like in bloodied builds

Fun fact: the legacy purge actually buffed explosive gauss rifles. My tse gauss didn't do the gauss explosion which do more damage than the explosive effect. So while explosive lasers were neutered the gauss rifles because stronger xD

I love my minigun AA/E, its really nice to use really. However .50 cal b/e/x is just a bit better for mob grinding, .50 call AA/e/x or AA/FFR/x is just a bit better for bossing. Strange to see the flamer, but not the holy fire in this video, my main grinding gun is a vamp holy fire with ffr and I like it better then my flamer TS/ffr, dont sleep on it if you are a HGPa build.

I don't like the fixer because it don't have any good skin for it I like using the handmade rifle because it's has beater cooler skin than the fixer that what I think
