Hey how did you manage to merge the outside foundations?

How do you fix the foundations? The game won't allow me to snap any foundations to fill up the gaps

They won't snap because there isn't enough space? If that's what you're talking about I used rugs to fill those gaps. If not, that tutorial was done a long time ago maybe they patched some of the tricks I used :S

Wonder if this would work for framing a perimeter wall in the corners of the build area

I think so yeah! Because you can place this blueprint anywhere you want as long as it doesn't snap to a foundation.

I wish i could blueprint in shelters to make this work

How did you go about reversing the roof like that? I can't seem to figure that out.

I'm not sure if this tutorial is still good because there has been a lot of patches since then :S And I haven't played in a while so can't confirm any of it.

How did you replace the outside walls with pillars? I’m doing a build where I’m using the rounded corner and a porch outside but I can’t figure out how to get rid of those walls

Not quite sure what you mean because if I recall correctly there wasn't ever any wall on the outside where the metal posts are. Its been a while since I last played but one trick that was always true is to replace the wall with something else like a doorway and then the game will let you delete it. Sometime one doorway will not work but another one like the glass or the barn doorway will let you delete it.

I’ve been trying this for a couple of days now and I can’t seem to make one that will actually place down and won’t say “selected item is floating “ when I try. Does anyone know how to do this so it can actually be placed? I’m using wooden foundations instead of concrete ones so I’m not sure if that makes a difference.

Never tried with wooden foundation try it with concrete and if it doesn't work I'll test some things. I think you can switch them afterwards anyway. I also remember that when you try to place glitchy blueprints you will get that error a lot so move around and try to place it anywhere to see if it works. Move around spin it around until it works and then when you confirmed that your blueprint works, you can try to place it exactly where you want, using a lot of patience :) the result is worth it though.

@@Markalot284 Thanks for the help. It did seem to be the wooden foundations. I used concrete foundations instead and as you said it did still error message me but with this one it did eventually place down unlike the blueprints with wooden foundations which just always refused to place.

If you try it just 1 foundation with 1 wall it will flip the wall? Cuz I remember when more than 1 foundation is connected the trick will not work.

the saloon? I usually put the location at the beginning of my videos. I'll refer you to the red dead redemption saloon video but if you prefer it's north of the Quarry X3 in the Cranberry Bog.

It's not a tutorial for the whole building, just an angled wall that can be applied to any new camp.

@@77angiebaby You can but you have to start your build with that. Thatza what I did, I built the saloon around the cornered wall not the other way around.

Man i wish you'd just make a saloon tutorial, this tutorial is mostly useless, as everyone who came here, came from the saloon, and we cant make it, you've given 1/6 of the information on how, like, how tf i get the roofs on, the foundations are merged out front, the wall trick is basically useless as we can't use it without the other glitches in tamdem. Literally can't make the porch /: sad really.

I see your point. I was supposed to do a full tutorial but then I got a new job and suddenly had way less time to make camps and even less to make videos about them...The tutorial is for creating the porch. After that you jam foundations wherever you can behind it and the gap it leave? You put big carpets over it. It was a lot of frankensteining around so I see how it can be difficult to reproduce. For the roofs, once they are merged you can always switch them to something else so you do that and switch them to flat roofs so it creates a kind of 2nd floor. What I could do is a deconstruction video to show how I filled the gaps left by the merge. I'm still very busy at work, 70hrs a week sure takes a toll but as soon as I have some time off I'll manage something more helpful towards making the saloon in my videos. Thanks for the input it helps everyone!

@@Markalot284 Hey thing is, with all the new people returning to fallout 76 this last while with the show, might be a good time to start making some new tutorials on it, never know. When it comes to the Saloon, I think i cracked it, and managed to figure out how to get the second layer wall, then with other videos online find out how to merge the roofs together using the slanted roof/replace with flat for the balcony etc, just taken a lot of time to understand building in this game since its sooooo glitchy. Other than that man, your bases are insane and awesome, thats why im here trying to replicate it as its fantastic!
