Bethesda be like "Oh no! A glitch that lets players who have access to private worlds get lots of free modules and 'unintentionally' encourages everyone to buy fallout 1st?! We... uh... better.... fix... this... quick..."

Yeah their whole model for 1st sucks, I personally disagree with anything that is paid for that gives players advantages other than cosmetics, if they removed the paywall on private worlds, trash/ammo boxes and survival tents then I'd have no real issue with it.

​@raycapetillo5569 the worst thing is they had a weapon ready to go that people were excited for and was a guaranteed drop to put people very close to the god rollers so they could have ramped the difficulty through the roof to make it challenging for everyone without it being too hard because you could finish the story and get the bloodied RR, then they ruined it literally last second and released 3 bosses that you can solo with a radiation weapon in a few seconds.

I just wish they did what most other online games do: let you choose the server, and let the people that want to BUY servers and run them using their own settings that everyone can join in on if they want to.

Alternative for those with one account or want to do it solo: (Requires FO1st though.) >Start up a Private World >Go to warehouse with Overseer's husband-turned-Scorched; roughly between Mine Site Kittery and Mine Shaft 6 >Get the keycard on the table next to the Overseer Holotape/open the door to enter >Delete him and loot his pickaxe. (Has a chance to drop a second if you let him swing at you.) >Start up a Daily OPs; soon as you load in, leave server. >Start up a Custom World but press Cancel as soon as you see "Building World" >Start up your Private World and you should respawn back in his room with him alive and lootable again. >Rinse and repeat. Doesn't require you to have a second account or another person to "cheat" the spawn rates. Slower acquisition as you have to deal with loading screens, but it's also one guaranteed drop every time. (Plus, Bobbleheads can spawn in his room as well.)

I have heard of this method also, the other alternative if you don't have an alt or you're on console is to find a friend and share the picks at the end, I'm actually getting 20 modules a minute but I put 10 in the title because 10 is easy for anyone to do without speed mutations etc and I knew people would complain if I put 20 and they weren't getting that lol, but split the loot and it's still 10 a minute if you're quick.

You don't need to start up a daily op. Just load into a private, kill the scorched, exit game, click custom, and cancel, load back into private world.

@@Meladdiction True, it's not necessary. Haven't tested otherwise yet, but I do know starting up a Daily Ops will "screenshot" your last location, so you'll just respawn inside his room. Otherwise, as far as I'm aware, you'll have to make the jog back to his room each time.

Huh, so you don't have to waste time picking up 250 burnt books to refresh the pickaxes spawn, that's insane. Great video ❤ Also, do you drop your pickaxes from your second account to your main or do you keep them in your second account ?

I drop them for my main account but they take up a lot of stash weight when you get 1500 modules so I also have some on my alt account and when I want to roll a gun that's tradable I just give it to my alt and roll it on there.

40 sec in and my mind exploded. When I bought the game I paid the extra £13 to get it on steam because who uses a microsoft account. I'm a solo player and it never once occurred to me that if I paid £0.91 I could get a second account and do all those annoying social challenges. Thankyou!

I paid £0.60 for my windows key on my alt account and then realised it was so cheap because when the show came out they gave away free keys to everyone with amazon prime, so I've got 2 alt accounts on windows now for mules lol.

​@@Lord.Chadsworth I've just tried doing this and its not working (pickaxes aren't there, I did do a run earlier where i grabbed them on my main) but the custom world reset doesn't seem to be working. Does it still work for you? Edit: It turs out i cocked up my item spawns by picking up the 5 pickaxes on my main before trying this. I did a few runs of this just now (its awesome btw, i got 120 modules in like 10 minutes) - Just remember to NEVER PICK THEM UP ON YOUR MAIN OR WHILST YOUR MAIN IS ON THE SAME SERVER! I fixed it by doing the Summerville burnt book trick. I also got my PVP achievement + tadpole swimming on my main xD Thanks again!

Ive been doing this with my pc and steam deck. But the weight becomes ridiculously heavy after 2k xD

Yeah the trick is to take your mule to events with you and just sit him in a corner with cloaking armor so he doesn't get hit, he gets legendary cores for that and then you do this trick to get modules for your alt and when you're rolling a weapon or armor that is tradable you swap it to your alt and use his cores and modules on it, save your main characters for untradable things like secret service armor and flamers etc.

Best method to date, this would of been awesome with the mine when working.

Yeah I didn't bother trying to farm them until the night before I made this then tried a load of methods and figured out this one was the best I had found.

On PC it looks like today anyways the pickaxe has been disabled completely cant find them or craft them

It's only patched on playstation right now. Are you making sure you pick up like 250 items to reset them?

I'm not home to test this so I just asked somebody I know to try it and this method is still working, are you sure you didn't pick them up on your main by accident? If you did you'll have to reset the spawn manually by collecting 250+ items then reloading into a fresh private world using the custom world then cancel and make sure the private world says building before it loads you into it.

@FoEKringle crafting hasn't worked since a few hours after the skyline Valley update, the method in my video is confirmed as still working currently on PC and Xbox but I'm hearing PlayStation has patched pickaxes so they don't drop modules anymore. You can't do this method on a public server so you have to follow my guide exactly and if that isn't working then its because you've picked them up with your main character and haven't reset the spawns manually by collecting 250+ items then reloading into a completely new custom server.

It was working but the pickaxes stopped spawning for me, any idea why?

Did you accidentally pick up the pickaxes with your main? I've done that once and I had to reset my spawns manually. To reset the spawn manually travel to summersville and go in the first house on the right, pick up EVERY item in and around the house then scrap them all in a tent or at whitesprings, reload into a new private world and fast travel back to foundation and they are back again. I can confirm this video methos is still 100% working because I've just done it again for a few extra modules on my alt so its not patched yet. Hope you get it working again for you :)

There's actually a workbench (chems, I think) right next door to the book house. It's against the wall of the building next door, overlooking the little graveyard. No need to worry about getting over burdened, which is nice.

My main account is a steam account and my alt is on Windows store, I got a cd key for £0.60 online and prime were also giving keys for free a few weeks ago. Then I simply run both games and alt-tab between them. :)

​@vladizarth6926 the amazon prime free key was for Windows store, I had the steam version because I got the game on pre order years ago and it transferred to steam when Bethesda merged with them. I'm sure you could find a steam key online somewhere though

or i have 3 accounts 2 are steam one Microsoft and im running all 3 at the same time with the steam there is a cmd command that allows you to run both steam accounts just make sure you run your main first then the second steam account

A glitch that actually still requires some moderate amount of effort? Nah, pass. Also maybe try medium shadows, those minecraft shadows are horrible :D

I completely agree with you, it looks awful, but I got fed up of fans being on full speed and the room being like a sauna so for while I'm running both games at 3440x1440 I lowered the graphics a lot while I've got both of them running at full res and OBS recording at the same time. Usually play with everything maxed and mods to improve the graphics to bring it up to modern standards.
