I'm a MO2 newb and just started using it a few days ago. Your videos about F4SE, Wrye Bash, CBBE and Bodyslide have been invaluable. Now I have FO4 running with MO2 and 200+ mods (186 plugins).

Newer versions of Bodyslide have the "advanced" setting option to set the output path of your files seperatly from the game directory. That way you can get the files into the overwrites folder while seeing the preview textures.

@@hole-sawbear1500 If you open MO2, is there a row called "overwrites" (written in cursive) all the way at the bottom of your installed files? If so you can open the overwrites folder in explorer through MO2. If not something went wrong with creating the MO2 instance.

This was very helpful in getting the installation done. I was having problems with unhiding the appdata folders, felt stupid. Now Im able to launch bodyslide easy enough. Still have to figure out what pieces I want to edit and how to specifically connect the outfit piece to the body its being used with. All for another day though

hi thank you for your video, many months ago your video got my cbbe and body slide to work together. after playing with alot of clothing mods with bodyslide, I recommend not using the overwrite folder as the pathway and not creating a seperate mod for the resized outfits. just let the outfits save directly into the steam data. what happens is when you have a bunch of clothing mods the overwrite folder becomes really messy, sometimes duplicating files and folders. just my opinion, keep the bodyslide output unchanged and manage your outfits by creating groups in bodyslide. but thank you, you got me started with a very good tutorial.

Thanks a ton, this video helped a lot. I was confused as hell trying to make bodyslide work on MO2 lmao

Rather than using the overwrite folder and creating a new mod from it, you could just create an empty mod in MO2 (name it "bodyslide output" or whatever) and then direct the Bodyslide output to that empty mod. That way you skip some steps and any changes you made in the BodySlide will always be reflected immediately in your created mod.

Holy crap with years of using body slide I had no idea about the seeing the textures window... Thanks for that tip

i am using mod organizer, and its been effective with most mods. but for bodyslide and cbbe I had to manually unpack the files, in the same folder I've been putting the rest of the files. seems to have worked this way. edit: oh yeah and needed to hit the build button, batch build to bake the body into the game. i was seeing invisible bodies at first which obviously is not what I want

I came here for the instructions on how to change the .ini folder but no, apparently we're just assumed to be able to do that.

Still helped :> I had no idea you have to run BodySlide and select the game before adding it to MO2 and continuing with it.

Awesome, thank you! I've been bumbling around with Mod Organizer 2 ever since my NMM stopped working properly after a reinstall, and this has been helpful to learning the new platform! One question, though--when you create the new mod out of your bodyslide preset, do you have to make a new one every time you install an armor or clothing mod that's bodyslide compatible? For example, should I download Commonwealth Shorts Bodyslide, will I have to make a new mod after installing it and running it through bodyslide?

No, but it won't align with the body that you set says you create big booty for big booty shorts, but won't look like the body. You may have to build the armor around the new body.. I don't have tutorials for that, but there are plenty of FO4 bodyslide tutorials out there which show you how to do it or you could refer to the Bodyslide team to see if they could help you out with it.

Hey man, i use linux and modding isnt easy to learn here (i modded my fair share of bethesda games on windows before) and i heard MO2 work better on linux. I actually had an issue a few days back and it drove me nuts, i even borked my FNV install, but if i have watched this video that would have been avoided. Still, big thank you to you for the video, it is a godsend!

Did everything exactly the same, some why when opened BodySlide app, the list is empty in Outfit/Body. Tried putting files in there, adding shortcuts - nothing works. Any one knows what's wrong?

Great video. It all worked how you said. Couple questions. How come we didn’t want it going to our data folder? When I change my body does it auto save to the new crested cbbe bodyslide folder? So how do I put clothes on the body so I can see what they look like or is that part irreversible?

Yeah there's something I'm missing. All my downloaded mods are stored in a desktop folder. However, when I go to select Binary, it won't show the Bodyslide mod available as an executable. Like, at all. It's insanely frustrating because if I can't figure that out, then I can't go any further.

Wait, im sorry but does this mean everytime i create a new batch of bodies and outfits i need to put it in my overwrite folder. then create a mod on it again? Sometimes new outfits get added to the mix, am i able to just put the files IN the mod i created so it also is able to update?

Is there any reason for bodyslide to just not work. I followed the guide exactly. The vanilla body is still there. I made the body and did the batch build. Its just not adding to my overwrite folder is still empty

There is a step you need to do with the INI manager to get it to work now. The mod maker was very clear that it would be required, but none of the guides I saw did it, so I assumed i could get away with not doing it. I was wrong. I could not get it to work until I modified the fallout4custom.ini .

hi Tony you helped me set up cbbe and body sliders about a week ago and I rediscovered fO4 after so many years. everything works great except now I'd like to install the optional cbbe smaller with dismember feature. OK so I'm using MO2, when it prompts to ask for the merge or replace all files which one should I choose? I already have a fully developed character and I would hate to mess up. if anyone can give me an advice on how to apply this new body into the main file safely I really appreciate it.

how do you fix the fact that you cant see textures now when trying to use both body slide and outfit studio? I am a new user to both mod organizer and bodyslide/outfit studio.

You could just make the body first then change the data path and then build because it won't make any changes till you hit build.

If you hold ctrl when you click batch build it will let you set the custom directory then.

When I go to my Mod Organizer Folder to look for the mod folder, I cannot find it. Why is that?

Did you go into bodyslide's settings and make sure you placed the folder pathway into the overwrite folder? It sounds like to me you still have the pathway to the data folder.

For anyone who made it this far an cant find the mod folder within Mod Organizer 2 Fallout 4 folder i was able to find mine here [C:\Users\"Your User Name"\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Fallout 4] replace "your User Name" with your own user and copy the files you need from there to the to the mod organizer folder. Hope this helps Someone in the future! Good Luck!

Wish I had watched this before I built the physics body. I assumed it would work the same as it did with NMM. Any way for me to reverse the body's nif change? I haven't been able to batch build outfits yet because I can't seem to save groups, most likely because I messed up the folder path. Hoping I don't need to reinstall Fallout 4 again.

I did it but started a new game and the body is the same as the base game,i did all the steps,what do i do now?

Do I need to do this for each body slide I make? One for the male character I'm making and one for the female character I make? I was making them all in one go, and I was having an issue where male character that should be nude have underwear on.

i cant use nexus mod manager so how can i do it without it?

So I'm having a problem with it being empty.... I don't know how to fix it at all I've tried moving the folders around, I have tried selecting different things other than the data folder since it's not picking anything up in the data folder. I'm lost now I don't know what to do...

I have the same problem. I've watched tutorials, googled threads, tried pointing the mod to various directories, but no joy. I give up lol. NMM might be a wobbly old game destroyer but at least it works without loads of headaches

I've done it in the past but I seem to be missing most of the slider options. But other than that all everything else is where it should be within the tool. Bodyslide was updated in April a few months after this video so something must have changed in it since then.

Probably not. I've been playing with FO4 sometime last week and I've gotten all the sliders. Make sure you've CBBE installed too. You need that mod activated in order to have all the sliders since the CBBE sliders are separated from Bodyslide.

I can't do it with the mod manager do I need the organizer?

This is working! But the thing is, every time I go to preview then the app with hang and then crash .-.

I followed everything step-by-step, triple checked everything too but everytime i start up FO4 using F4SE, The mods does not work

So before this, I was able to use the slider in the game, expect the clothes. Once I watched the video and spent over an hour it worked just as he showed it, but then it didn't show up in the game. Mods were installed, but no sliders or preset option. Maybe we did it wrong, or maybe we haven't finished using the studio?

Mine just says no image on all of the bodies how do I fix this

1.) It wasn't working for me until I went to the "ini editor" in MO2 and edited the text in there, according to this website: forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3421650-the-complete-entry-for-ini-setting-sresourcedatadirsfinal/ It took me a while to figure out that you don't have to mess around with the actual folders and files in your PC, since MO2 has its own virtual version of that 🙏. 2.) You have to make sure "Caliente's (...)" folder (the mod folder) is in the mod folder specified in your MO2, in the settings menu. Also, don't have that folder be in Program Files or any Windows folder since those are protected. Final obs.: The first thing I mentioned, about the ini file, is what really made it work for me. Sorry if I didn't help much. I'm just figuring out all this
