Yeah but here in the UK if you buy your home it's yours in the USA they have to pay some kind of tax every year, similar to our council tax , there's could be up to 7000 dollars a year and I don't think they get a 75% discount if there are unemployed like the UK. There home goes into foreclosure they become homeless. You get housed in if you lose your home and have kids in the in UK, not so in the USA.

I don't even want a house now, I would rather have one room and share the apartment with other people. This way when I loose a job I won't be homeless. You just can't rely on keeping a job anymore, businesses are going bankrupt or firing half of their staff all the time. I wouldn't take a loan for anything that I don't need to survive. I don't even want a car, living near public transportation is enough. I just feel better the less bills I have to pay every month, because it takes me one step away from being in debt and once you are in debt you are a slave to the bank and they will take everything from you.

U r the surety to tue US debt ...so whennu reduce theirndebt with ur income they will become ur debtor and u can confirm with them that u will exercise surety rights over tue US ..and this will result in them.discrging all ur bills..even a house ... That's really sad. But I'm happy to hear that this mother pulled through and found another rewarding career. Thing is the economy is ridiculous now, that middle class families are going into poverty. Education does not even cut it as well because there are many who have high credentials like a Master's or Ph.D and they are making only $15 an hour when they should be paid more. I mean wages like this and going into poverty makes it hard for many to support their families. I know many who did their best to settle and have a good income in order to marry and start a family, but now are turned off by it because they can't afford it (ok maybe the marriage part), and children are ridiculously expensive.... American Dream my ass.

The Gaming Emoji. Watch some of the videos that are out there that show you what you can do to stop living paycheck to paycheck. Pay attention to your surroundings and stop relying on the media for your info. The "war on poverty", that was created in 1964, has been an epic fail. If the intent was to end poverty, the number of those impoverished would be less not...more. It is now nearing May 1st 2017, and the homeless crisis continues. Ask yourself why....#Think

Berkeclor92. No it doesn’t! People need to learn to live below their means and pay cash for purchases which forces people to save up for what they want. Too many people want things “now” instead of waiting until they can afford it. That’s when the credit cards come into play, much to people’s detriment!

Yes, there were some years that getting a decent paying job was very difficult due to the downturn of the economy and maybe this is still true is some areas BUT there are jobs now in my area in manufacturing that START at $30/hour and employers can’t fill positions. That’s $60k/year, without overtime! That’s damn good pay. I’ve worried about layoffs from time to time during my career and I’m ready to travel where the work is to support my family. I don’t know I’ve always thought and felt there were opportunities, you just might have to sacrifice to make it happen.

This lady can not think on her feet and that will continue to be her downfall. Even though she is working now at UPS. Amazon is thinking about buying UPS, so that might change her employment situation. These are things you have to be aware of (stay on top of what's going on with the company you are employed with) and make moves before you are forced to make a move. These companies don't give a damn about their employees and they will have you hemmed up for real if you don't know how to stay one step ahead of them. If are in corporate america you will stay vulnerable and your employment will never really be secure. Laid offs and mergers is how they get down. Again, multiple streams of income people, multiple streams.

The US has become 70% dependent on consumer spending alone to drive its economy. No longer employed in full-time jobs , w/ benefits, workers get caught between declining purchasing power and soring health care costs. Many workers additionally suffer under a global 'wage race to the bottom' as corporations seek the low cost supplier (wherever they may be off shore).

I have to go round and round and round with a bot until I am furious before I get to speak to a human at ATT these days. I hate that company with a passion. I'm sorry corporations are so very greedy, it won't help you now, 2019, but I promise you something has got to give and it will. If anything happens with my full-time job, I can ramp up on my hours cleaning buildings on my second part-time job, so I still got a cash flow coming in. I got a back-up plans all day. Know how to hustle, never but all your eggs in one basket, especially if you work in corporation america. Make sure you got more than one job, so if anyone of them goes a way, you still got income coming in from the second job to help you stay on your feet. She could work a part-time job working as a receptionist in the day, clean buildings at night, work for amazon.com or drive for Uber. Come on now, way too many ways to get your hustle on and beat homelessness. This lady seems as she is incapable of figuring out how to sustain her life if she doesn't have a regular full-time job. If she got to work 3 Wendy's job to keep a roof over her head and lights on, then so be it. She could get $100 labtop and look for a better paying jobs on her break or lunch hour, I'm sure Wendy's got free Wi-Fi.

Laid offs and merger is how they get down. Again, multiple streams of income people, multiple streams.

My grandpa on my MaMa's side was middle class , who was disowned for marrying my grandma who was a poor farm girl. Equally the upper and middle class of my family disowned me too, before ever knowing me. They value money above all else not knowing MaMa Nature like us poor farm girls, whose wisdom frees the caterpillar a butterfly. MaMa is one with MaMa Nature they denied for money! Privilege comes in many colors. My white grandpas chose love over privilege. But all that is seen as my white skin claiming I have some kind of privilege. I don't want privilege. I just wants a fruitful earth so all of MaMa Natures children of all colors and species can eat freely.

I started at Pacific Bell in early 1997 which was bought by SBC in mid 1997, who then bought AT&T and took the AT&T name. In 2015 my office closed & my work moved to another state. I decided to take the package and leave rather wait for AT&T to try to find me a job. I worked with a career counselor at the local adult school and learned tips. Ultimately after almost a year unemployed, I got a job based on a referral to a friend to my family. But I had to put in work and really make my resume read good. A lot had changed from the late 1990s to the 2010s & I work in a totally different industry now.

Then they lose their job and all goes bad. The lesson that should be learned a long time ago is that you cant rely on a job. perhaps in the past a long time ago but not now. So always live and plan for these situations in case. thats the lesson i had hope she knew before so she could teach it to her son.
