    I'm literally in a Motel 6 room right now... homeless... fell off the wagon in this very room lastnight... got drunk off IPA while watching Home Alone 2... IPA paid for with panhandled money... money i panhandled in order to fix my truck and get my dog neutered... then, I used more of that money to order a pizza and pasta and cheesecake delivered to my door... tipped the driver a $20 because I know how it is... here I am now, in this same room because I hardly slept a wink lastnight because I stayed up, drunk, watching comedian podcasts on youtube and beating off to free porn... i paid for another night because I felt like absolute shit this morning... and now I'm 3 more IPAs deep into this podcast clip that I've been listening to while cooking up a steak bought with foodstamps on my single-burner butane stove in the motel room bathroom so that the exhaust fan vents the smoke incase I burn the butter... I could have ordered a rebuild kit for my engine... but i blew hundreds of dollars on motel room, beer and delicious food. I feel like an absolute idiot right now... but at least im schwilly and eating steak while listening to my friend simulation

    Yeah, I'm a recovering addict myself with four years and I get where both are coming from. There's a shit ton of good shit you can learn in AA but the cliches and extreme personalities wear down on you. What it really comes down to is the human need for community, something AA offers and something Nick will never go for.

  • @keircampbell9374

    @keircampbell9374

    AA is just a religion for people who don’t want religion imo. I went to meetings and I just found a bunch of people defining themselves by NOT drinking, where before they defined themselves by drinking. They have these dogmas, like an addict of one thing is an addict of all, one drink is too many, etc. I had alcohol and coke/meth problems for like 15 years and I can definitely have a couple drinks. The problem wasn’t alcohol it was me, and it wasn’t some genetic fate I couldn’t work out. For some people it might be that but even to say it’s not the case for me makes me a “heretic” in AA circles. I’m glad it helps people, saved my friends life, but I’m not really a fan of the culture.

    Stav needs to drink blanco tequila with club soda or a diet lemon lime soda. No hangover from the blanco tequila unless you didnt drink water after like a dumb dumb. Hangovers mean you're doing something wrong while you drink. Avoid mixing different liquors as well as avoid sugary mixers like margarita mix and fruit juices. Also, stage buzz is real. Im a live musician and its insanely hard to get to bed after gigs. Its why a ton of musicians have died from sleeping meds.
