It's so soothing to glide through the dark ring around Uranus.

Sinking down a desolate, diamond-filled, alien ocean for weeks on end. Something about that sentiment is so beautifully haunting. I can't even wrap my head around the fact that it actually exists, too. Thank you for this amazing video.

The unsettling atmosphere built in the video brings a feeling we're not used to. It is perfectly opposed to the feeling I once had when watching Interstellar. You are no hero, you are the victim, inside a train without brakes getting faster and faster, waiting for the moment until you crash. The closer you get to the end, the smaller you get. This is the antithesis of human purpose in exploring the unknown. But all you can do is watch. Watch the vastness of the unknown. Watch the vastness of Uranus.

The fact that much of Uranus is composed of frozen/liquid fart gas is so fitting, it's almost like the cosmos itself is in on the joke.

Well, it's very interesting that this planet has a few attributes that are synonymous for rectums. It has rings and a lot of methane. And deep inside, there are rocky cores. "Anus" comes from the latin term for "ring".. and Uranus could be spelled Ouranus, after the Greek god of the sky. I prefer the latter spelling, because i feel it is more inclusive.
