If you feel bad for Ronnie but not his mom that’s some hypocritical shit because I promise if he wasn’t famous he wouldn’t have been able to get clean. If you aren’t familiar with addiction but no one gets addicted to a drug for fun it’s always an underlying problem so I’m sure his mom has had her fair share and tbh sometimes it’s better if the person with the disease leaves because most of the time they don’t get clean and it ruins family’s it a different way worst way having to see a loved one suffer And stuggle. Don’t be dumb people. If he was famous you would think he’s a piece of shit just like the random guy in your town who’s a drug addict he got lucky. Most people aren’t.

Since you were asking people to share their thoughts on the song and their experiences and everything, this is how I see these three songs in a series: Tldr - Losing my mind is about how it people are always going to try and bring you down even when you take responsibility for your actions and apologize for your actions. Don't let the negativity get to you and don't lose your mind over what others think lest you want to lose your life as a result as well. Losing my life - Accept your mistakes and your flaws. Do what you can to make things right. Don't focus too much on what everyone else thinks of you and move on from your past. Keep moving forward. Being your own worst enemy is fine and self-criticizing is good, but don't let others cause you to be even harsher on yourself. If you do, eventually everyone will seem like an enemy and you may lose your life to your own darkness and doubts even if there are others around willing to help. Drugs - Live life for yourself and your loved ones. Don't kill yourself trying to make everyone happy. You will never please everyone. People are gonna say shit to try and bring you down because their life isn't perfect. You continue doing what makes you happy and caring for your loved ones and don't worry about what everyone else is saying. Losing my mind - As you have said and as anyone can look up with the amount of information out there, Ronnie has had a pretty fucked life. Some of it his fault, some of it not. He had quite a bit of hardship growing up, from what information there is available out there on it, and he made quite a few mistakes throughout his life. However, he has owned up to his mistakes and he is trying to move forward. That is what this song is about to me - accepting your past, your mistakes and the hand you had in your past, and moving forward with your life. However, when certain aspects of your life are public and criticized by others, it can feel difficult to move past it because other people don't want you to and you see that in several places in this song. The first part of the chorus he says: "I'm not ready to change, I'm doing my thing You're pointing the blame, you know I'm not ready to choose" I see this as him speaking as how he feels other people see him - they still blame him for everything that hes done as if he hasnt taken responsibility for it and theyre not ready to let him change. This is then followed by: "So don't get confused and stay the hell out of my way So why do you believe You're losing your mind, losing your mind again In everyone but me? I'm losing my mind, losing my mind again" - This quite literally asking why do you believe in everyone but me, stay out of my way, ya'll must be losing your minds. Why am I not allowed to change? The verses there are several passages that address this also: "Living a lie, everybody's always gonna bring up my past Well, I'm past that, my interest up and my bag's packed... ...I've seen the hardships, lived in darkness through the mud into the marshes My reputation is tarnished but regardless, I am awesome Saw the gossip from my lockup go colossal Then I blossomed to the boss of this rock stuff And I'm never gonna stop till the cops come What I'm really trying to say Is say it to my face and if you won't, stay the fuck out my way Rocking shows, lock and load, stop me, no I'm repping the new shit, the essence of music I'm blessed with the fusion of both" He's acknowledges he has fucked up. He has literally done the time. He is going to move forward regardless. The song ends with the chorus being repeated 3x, however part of it changes. He says "Every single day we kill our idols, But you won't break me down" and then changes to say "We're losing our minds, losing our minds" and after that "I'm losing my mind, losing my mind again" which makes me feel like these "people" refusing to "allow" him to move on despite his attempts at being better is making him doubt himself and he is beginning to feel like he is losing his mind. Losing my life - This to me is about the internal struggle he is then going through having lost his mind and beginning to feel like he is losing this life he has built up as a result of this doubt (or sickness) that has festered. There is opening part with him talking to his reflection saying he is in a dream. Then the first verse talks again about looking back on his life and asking himself if apologies will really make things right and acknowledging that it may, but he decides fuck that - his past is the reason he is here, hes out from incarceration, look at all hes done even still. This to me is him arguing with that part of himself that was beginning to doubt. The next two lines are "I won't surrender, surrender No, I won't let you bring me down" and I think that is his response to his reflections saying "I wont let my own doubt stop me". The chorus sounds like this internal struggle with himself is beginning to affect him even more. Nobody seems sincere anymore. Everyones out to get him. How do I trust anyone if I cant even trust in myself. This struggle with himself isn't just a problem he is having internally anymore, it is starting to affect him externally and how he interacts with others - leading into the second verse. The screaming with his reflection goes as such: "I'm falling way too fast, I'm sinking in too deep I need an angel now that's watching over me If I could just wake up, if I could make you see I'm all alone, all alone with your sickness in me" He's losing this internal struggle with himself. Hes falling faster and faster and doesnt think he can help himself anymore. He hopes someone is out there watching over him because he is alone in himself. I think overall this song serves as a warning. Not everybody knows everything about you. You know you. Be confident in who you are and what you've done. Focus on improving yourself and moving forward with your life. If you focus too much on the past, allow other people's inability to let things go, and begin to doubt yourself as a result - you will find yourself in a deep spiral where you could end up ultimately not just feeling like you're going crazy and "losing your mind", but potentially "losing your life". I think the verses are evident to being confident in yourself and pushing forward in your belief in you whereas the chorus and end of the song is the warning. Drugs - I think this strong is actually pretty damn simple and straightforward with the lyrics of the chorus and especially going into Corey Taylor's vocals "'Cause everybody's on drugs It's hard to believe, the American dream is a killing machine We're all falling in love with a new disease If it's killing you, then it's murdering me It's all getting so unbelievable We're having so much fun, staring down a loaded gun And you don't see that it's killing you Everybody is dead from the neck up Trying to keep their heads up, searching for a way out This is a dying nation, so complacent Spirits need awakened, what are we waiting for?". This "dream life" that people idolize is dangled in front of people to always make them want more. So many people work so hard just trying to make ends meet. They want more, and rightfully so. People shouldn't have to kill themselves to just live. Every little bit of progress you make in this everlasting quest to better your life for your loved ones gives you this good feeling that you're doing what you're supposed to. I think thats really what this song is addressing is how people work so hard for happiness staring down the loaded gun of the "american dream" and people dont even realize it. Everyone is just trying to keep their heads up, making ends meet, and searching for a way to make the lives for their loved ones better. The nation is dying in is complacency for its people. The verses, I think, are his opinion on the matter and addressing his fans and everyone that has stuck by him and support him throughout his life. The first verse is a statement supporting this idea in the chorus about the American dream being a killing machine. If America is "one nation under god" and this "God" is real and benevolent, then why are so many people living these lives? If he was real and watching out for us, people would "be free" (have better lives) and there wouldn't be so much shit in this world. The second verse basically saying I don't care about anyone that dislikes me, I just want to thank everyone that has stuck by me and I will keep doing this shit for all of you. The third verse offering support for the people that have supported him: "Save yourself is what I'm telling you 'Cause nobody else really has a clue Into your veins, vein, like heroin Accept the pain, pain just to feel again, feel again" Live your life for you and your loved ones. What matters is that your happy with what you have. Don't kill yourself going after this "dream life" that people idolize.

Yeah I understand exactly what he and you are saying, I grew up with the bad influences. Drugs, drinking all that negative shit and yeah it will ruin your life i have seen it first hand. And it takes a strong will and desire to turn it all around and walk away from it. Especially if everyone you know is all but that negative stuff. But if anyone is determand to get away from it they can.

Do A Day To Remember - Bullfight they’re another big name in the metalcore scene, despite what people say. They don’t stick to one genre, the same way Falling in Reverse doesn’t.
