Then she said we just have to be friends since her parents didn’t except her. we both love each other still. I’m going to try and ask her out one more time and hopefully it lasts

listening to this playlist makes me remember the time i confessed to my best friend. i tried not to fall but it was hard, i couldn't help it. at the time he was talking about his crush, and i was kinda hurt. when i can't hold it in anymore, i decided to tell him how i truly felt for him. and of course i didn't expect anything as i already knew he liked someone else. i told him i just had to let my feelings out, but i'm not expecting him to like me back. but hey- i was the crush he was talking about. he said he was too afraid to tell me about it. he was afraid of rejection and was worried about risking our friendship. one year later, which is now, we're in a relationship happily. but not with each other. he's still my best friend. yeah, we didn't end up together. we were too afraid to risk our friendship and both agreed to just stay as friends. and now he's happy with someone else, and so am i.

I always find myself frantically trying to get into a relationship because I feel empty but then when I get into one I end up feeling more empty and losing feelings faster than a Japanese bullet train.

Yeah, I'm in love with my best friend. I catch myself staring at her from across the room. When we touch, I get butterflies. When she tells me she loves me and she'll always be there, I know she means it in a friend way, but it takes my breath away. I over-analyse what I do around her. We've never had an argument, not once, and considering that our parents were friends long before we were born and I grew up with her, that's an achievement. I kept the old hoodie she gave me that she grew out of. When we were younger, we used to just mutually agree that we'd live together, and multiple times we've talked about where we'll live and what we'll do and how we'll decorate the house. I dread the thought of seeing her fall in love with someone else, even if it's selfish. We have nicknames for each other and share interests. I've been trying to gather the courage to break up with my gf, knowing full well I've lost feelings for her. But I still care about her and I don't want to hurt her. I'm stuck in the situation where I'm dating someone I care for but too far fallen for someone else. It's not that bad, though. I doubt I'll ever move on, and I can't see the end of this. But at least I know she'll always be by my side. She's already made plans with me for a future, and I'm glad that she wants to stay friends with me for as long as we can currently see onward. It might hurt, having to move on eventually, but god, I'm so, so, so grateful that she will always be there for me. Hey, J, if you're reading this, I know that I'm doing this anonymously, but I've always loved you and I always will at this rate. Thank you for being there for me. Fuck it. I need your help y’all For the past few months, I’ve become extremely close friends with someone that I can literally not stop thinking about. I know this probably sounds cliche or cringe or whatever the hell, but she’s perfect. She is mature and polite, extremely respectful and being around her is just so refreshing and healing. Shes the literal first person I have ever gotten to know up close and personally, she’s the first friend I’ve had that I could actually visit, the first friend that i have had that I feel I could relate to, the first person I ever feel myself around. But recently, something’s begun to change. Im such an idiot for falling in love, and God knows how or why, but I just found her to be that perfect since day one. The way we talk, its starting to shift. I haven’t told her my true feelings, nor do I think ill ever. I know she sees me as just that, a friend, but I see her as quite literally the world. This feeling is so painful, I cant coexist with it. My fear is that one day we’ll just stop talking all together. I try to be lively but at times, I have my breaking points. I dont know how or where to go from here. Its at the point where I think its dying but I want to tell her so badly. Im sorry for the random stranger who stumbles upon this comment. Sometimes I cant even tell if its platonic or if i genuinely love her. I feel like I just want the feeling of being loved by someone I care about so much. Shes gotten me through so much but I know that I’ll never get to be with her since she already told me shes questioning as a lesbian. I really hope thats not true. I feel like I love her, but I haven’t had romantic (and or sexual) feelings for a person in such a long time that I can’t even tell if its platonic or not. I love the way she smiles, I love her laugh, her gorgeous brown eyes, every single flaw she has because to me they’re all perfect and beautiful. She’s made me the happiest i’ve been and any person has ever made me. I can’t bear the thought of her leaving me for someone else, someone else making her happy besides me. i've never fallen in love. i feel as though i never will. i've seen it portrayed in so many ways, as beautiful and warm and wonderful, but also as painful and filled with unfulfillable longing. i don't know whether i should be glad i never had to deal with it or mourn the fact i never got to feel the butterflies. i have notes on my phone about what falling in love is like, just in case i ever feel it. i think it's something you know when you feel, isn't it? the butterflies, the warmth, all that?

I’ve accepted it and know that I’m falling for him, the thing is.. we live on different sides of the country. It’s been 2 years since we have seen eachother and somehow we have made it work. We call eachother literally almost everyday and amuse eachother. I don’t think it’s a crush either. We have been best friends for about 5 years and I notice his flaws and that’s what I love him for. His sarcastic tones and how he playfully teases me in call. How if he misplaced or accidentally breaks any of my items in a game he shyly gives me a box of goodies (Minecraft shelker full of replacement things and more) and how he acts all tough but is really shy in social interactions and try’s his best. How if I ask him a favor he grunts and sighs like he isn’t going to do it but goes and does it secretly anyways. How he laughs, how he is serious in sad or bad times, how he actually cares in his own little way. He used to wake me up some mornings by my ringtone for calling me, I would always complain a little but behind the screen I was smiling. I don’t know how to tell him though. I don’t think he likes me back but I’m attempting at giving some mixed signals very discreetly >:] Wish me luck! (Ps I don’t want to tell him until I move back to where he is, I’m thinking next year. I rather be physically there than virtually)

The fact that most people like there close friend is just so relatable for me but obviously no one has the courage to confess because they think it’ll ruin the relationship. Honey, don’t worry, take risks, if it wasn’t meant to be, it wasn’t meant to be. Remember everything happens for a reason, be the bigger person instead of bottling those feelings up. Tip if you wanna know if the person you like likes you back (do it even if you don’t want to): if you’re close to them, go up to them and ask if you guys can talk. Then when you guys are ready to talk begin with however you like BUT do NOT confess yet. Instead, look dead into their beautiful eyes and ask them if they like anyone after their answer ask them if they like YOU. No matter what the answer is just remember you won’t regret liking that person since you didn’t bottle it up by yourself!! And also remember everything happens for a reason..!! I once fell in love with my best friend. I ended up falling hard. I stayed in love for years. I was friendzoned on a daily basis, and it really hurt. One day, I told a friend that I like him. Guess what she did? She. Told. Him. That is mostly the reason I don't talk to her anymore. But I remember being panicked. His responce was just ... silence. A couple months ago, I gave up. I now see him as a brother, and I am currently pursuing a new crush who is rumored to like me back. :) Oh, and me and the guy are still pretty good friends lol

background info before i start being dramatic: Her and I have known each other for about 9-10 years now. We are also platonically (not romantically) engaged. She is bi-curious, I am gay too and demisexual. Although we are engaged and such, I've always seen her differently than my other friends. I don't know why. It's just something about her I can't really explain. Being around her and just simply spending time with her makes me so incredibly happy. So happy to the point where I think I'm in love with her. No, I'm sure I'm in love with her. I love everything about her. Her chocolate brown eyes, her beautiful blue hair, her sweet mellow voice, her little laugh, she amazing smile, the way she talks to me, just everything about her is perfect. Thing is, she has no idea that I'm in love with her. I've told her many times I love her, and she's said she loves me too, but it's always in a platonic way. I've tried to at least give her some subtle hints, such as giving her favorite flowers (white roses), making her favorite tea (chrysanthemum), sending her favorite memes, trying to make her smile every time I see her, but she never even picked up a sign. I bought us sun and moon rings for our platonic marriage, and she loves them! But now I'm just scared to tell her that I'm in love with her because I've had this same situation with an ex-friend and let's just say, that ex-friend ended up using me for my money and for clout. (ouch). Anyways, now I'm stuck in this situation on whether I should just tell her that I'm in love with her, or I just keep my mouth shut and not tell her. I'm scared that if I tell her, she will either 1. Hate me for it and leave me. or 2. Be cool with it but now everything is awkward. I don't want to lose another friend. I don't want to lose the only person I trust the most. I don't want to lose her. She means so much to me and I don't know what I will do if she leaves me. I know I sound selfish, but I don't want to lose her. I can't lose her. She means the world to me and I would give up my life for her. I'm so scared.. edit: forgot to add that she's ace too edit 2: he came out as trans, we dated, he chose our friend who sexually harassed us over me, i got a new gf, we broke up, they became best of friends, and now i wish i never met him. i fucking hate you allister.

I'd say do what's best for you and your bestfriend, but honestly listen to your heart, it can b SO TOUGH NOW, but the feelings you have should ccome out otherwise you'll explode, I don't really know honestly, you can tell her or keep it in im not an EXPERT ON THIS, but maybe tell her and take things slow, hoped this helped (:

Bestie, same age. When was the last time you guys were on a date? And are you 100% sure she is into that other person? Then make her fall in love you again. Ik this advice sounds bad but trust me. Hey, in case your issue is feeling like your too young to date: Anyone of any age should be able to explore! (By explore I mean dating) Your feelings for them are completely normal and valid! Falling in love is normal, don’t let anyone tell you any different! No matter your age! If it makes you feel any better I started dating in kindergarten-

He used to tease me a lot and then I fell in love with him. He never returned those feelings. Now people are suspecting he likes me, but I've moved on bc the pain of seeing him with other people hurt me.

I'm dating my best friend for 9 months now. We were fine at first but then i started to get suicidal and dark, sad. I feel like he doesn't understand anything. He never helps me and went i'm sad and i don't tell him why (In my opinion is totally normal to not want to say why) he just let's me go. So i'm there standing with no one. My childhood has been hard. I have an alchoolic mom so she was never there for me. Ive never told my problems and feelings to someone before. Boyfriends are suppose to be your best friend, someone to who you can say anything to because you know they will understand you.. but ive never felt like this ones in my life. if you guys have been dating for that long you should be able to tell him how ur feeling and ik it's scary especially if you have never told your feelings to anyone but I feel like you should tell him how you have been feeling and if he rly is who he says he is he should understand maybe he is going something hard to and you guys sharing your feelings and having open communication should help you grow as a couple. you deserve someone who is obsessed and in love with you not someone who doesn't understand anything so don't settle for anything less than what you deserve.

I’m right now in love with this boy! He’s my everything and I close my eyes every night to imagine what my future might look like with him in it. He’s truly my best friend, we tease each other everyday in math and talk all the time. Im currently in love with this song cause it reminds me of him and me. We both admitted to liking each other and I don’t know what’s gonna happen next. Right now we’re just trying to get closer before we make any major moves. I hope this is a begging to a great love story. It’s currently August 29, 2021 and while time past I’ll keep you updated on how this love story goes. It’s currently September 11th: we talk so much, practically every day now. He still hasn’t asked me out yet but we still like each other. On Wednesday his friend called me ugly and he started getting pretty defensive and apparently he started arguing with him over me. Then on thursday his other friend asked me if I still like a previous/past crush and then they all started talking in a small circle in line after. I’ve been rejected every time I’ve tried to love. I fell for one of my best friends who has been there for me throughout all my ups and downs the past few years. I fell in love with my best friend during high school. She was a sophomore, and I was a junior. We both took Floral Design, and she was the first person I spoke to in the class we would talk every day and become closer and closer.
