I've created two travel vlogs using my Samsung S23 phone - a great device with impressive camera quality. Feel free to check out the videos if you haven't already. However, relying solely on my phone during travel posed challenges; my battery drained halfway through the trip, requiring me to charge it in the hotel lobby to continue vlogging.
Realizing the need for a dedicated camera within my budget, I explored DJI's December 2023 sales, debating between the DJI Pocket 2 and Action 4. After watching numerous comparison videos and footage examples, I based my decision on the purpose and style of my shooting.
The primary goal is to save my phone's battery, so I opted for a camera with quick charging and swappable batteries. Additionally, being a beach enthusiast, I often worry about bringing my phone near water. The rugged and waterproof DJI Action 4 caught my attention, although I'll still use a waterproof case for extra safety.
I love the mounting options with action cameras and prefer a smaller, discreet camera to avoid inconveniencing others. In this video, I've included footage from the Christmas season in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, showcasing walks around KLCC, Pavilion, Avenue K, and dinner at Oriental Kopi. Alongside the exploration, I've added an unboxing segment to provide insights into what to expect if you decide to make a purchase.
