Hercules is the one "Renaissance-era" Disney movie I slept on for some reason when I was really little, not counting the many, many times Kingdom Hearts had a world very loosely based on that movie. I literally had to watch it on Disney Plus as a grown man with zero children like a FREAK just so I could finally get Chris's "Herculad" song from years ago.

I'll never forget my hamster, little tobias. He was sand colored and loved miniature salads. Sometimes when he escaped from his cage the only way I knew was because he'd wake me up on my pillow sniffing my face. Total gentleman hamster. Once he escaped in the middle of the night and I woke up in a daze worried, went all the way to the basement to begin my search through the entire house for the whole night, and he just shimmies out into the open to get picked up. Best guy. Rest in paradise my sweet potato.

Hamsters are cool little dudes. Definitely not little children’s pets though (late child/early teens maybe), I’m convinced that the pet industry needs a heavy social rework to teach people that hamsters are an intermediate pet. At least dwarf hamsters are, from my personal experience.

Advertised as a "beginners pet" like hamsters, but living with someone's literal unprompted $200 impulse purchase has taught me they are definitely not my kind of animal. They are annoying and needy as all fuck and require far more specific care than we can provide. Impulse buying these is common enough that New York had a rash of abandoned guinea pigs after lockdown lifted or something like that

The pet industry as a whole is pretty fucked. Lots of people getting pets without any real research done or getting pets without figuring out if they’ll be there to care for them or not.

I got him in my early 20's and committed to giving him outside cage play time, lots of digging and climbing space, the best fruits and veggies on top of his normal food, and as much physical contact he wanted (not much, but not zero). It's much more than people expect, but it's also totally doable because they don't live past 3 yrs most of the time. People also tend to underestimate the baseline care fish need, too. I think the issue is at some point ppl default to seeing the pet as an inanimate object, and that's when neglect and mistreatment can happen. It's important to acknowledge from the beginning that this living being is fully dependent on you and will always require your attention, whether its ants or golden retrievers.

Oh I remember the “perfect crime” murder caused by those two guys. The way they found em was that either some glasses were left behind or at least a prescription. The police took that to an eye doctor to see whose prescription it was. Turns out the glasses were special made and only one guy had it which was the murderer. Lyle if you're reading this, you were on the right track. This game is the first game on PC to feature 'Direct Storage' like PS5/XSX (quick resume) and the Requirements page for this game points out the best experience would be on an nvme or ssd. I think that game does load incredibly quick on intended hardware. I don't think Racket&Clank Rift Apart see the same disparity of performance, that might be the second title, and only other one I can think of that might have the 'direct storage' feature, maybe FF16 will have it on the PC release.

I just want them to get to the part where you can choose to not fight the final battle and get a selfish bad end. Because I know that's what they're going to pick.

One of the things I dead ass legitimately love about Oneyplays is they often would rather play a shittier game and riff on the issues than play the popular game. They just play what they want, when they want. (Bring back Worms, I am begging you!)

There’s only one way i would except them to not finish this game. And that’s before the final fight when they give you an option to go home or stay and fight. And they choose go home
