@sangiev , I went too ham holmes. Got that olive crushed silk haider bomber; orbai side-stripes; silk striped shirt and then a pair of black horsebit loafers 😍 All were on the agenda already though, plus I had to have a little bit of retail therapy, since I had the news broken that I wasn't gonna be able to study in China this upcoming year. Only thing I'm keeping an eye out for during Boxing day sales are those Ann D lace-up ankle boots. You have any pieces from this season that you've got your eye on?

@@brandonkey181 There's a huge amount of history and heritage behind Margiela's decision to experiment with the 'tabi-sock' silhouette. Essentially, it's a modern adaptation of the Japanese tabi-socks. I will say that they're super polarising and I can understand why they're not your cup of tea, but it's not just a case of a fashion house creating something in the vain of the Balenciaga "shirt t-shirt" as there is history behind the piece.

Man I have so much respect for you for wearing all these "crazy" clothes. I dont think I would be brave enough to pull off these outfits, especially because everybody here dresses the same. Either way you killed it with all 3 looks. The last one was absolute fire 🔥

That first fit with the jacket and cream trousers was clean

These looks put a smile on my face. And yes, the so-called grandpa look was great, and it's made me nostalgic for my college style. Maybe I'll go out and pick up some vintage cardigans. None of these looks were super out there, but those Navy trousers looked hot, 100%. Best find of this set imo. And despite owning 2 pairs of black low-heeled booties, you have me eyeing the Tabi boot... again.

not sure if you realize but the item of clothing this boot is based on is the tabi, which is a sock

All those looks would be as much fire with a regular pair of boots if not even better, tabi are such a strong design but for an everyday wear it makes you kinda look like a minotaur or some beast.

Globu74 I think it’s a testament to Sangiev’s ability to insert them into a sort of more ‘regular’ fit. But of course, rocking a Tabi in everyday life might be a bit out of the box, most margiela designs are. Granted I saw them styled quite casually a lot while I was visiting Tokyo. Comes down to personal preference I guess

@@AnthonyDeluca I think what Sang did is very intelligent. If he'd have gone with skinnier fits then all we'd notice ..was the boots. Hence, making him look shorter. But I didn't even ..for even a single second thought Sang is looking shorter or something.

You can pull it off. Just think of this "none of these people know me and they'd probably forget me anyways after few days." Then walla no problem. Trust me you'd pull of any outfit you want with that mind set. At least thats how i do mine.
