I painted a '70's-era dresser I found in an attic of a rental property and the only thing I found in it was DVD which the subject matter I won't mention here. So that went right in the trash.

Haha I think anyone who has ever read a mystery book secretly wishes to find money, a will, a secret message, etc. In the back of a painting! Definitely not alone!! I mean stranger things have happened and every so often you hear those kinds of stories in the news, right?! What a beautiful makeover! I personally liked the art that was in the frame to begin with! Sort of matches my aesthetic though and not yours for sure. :) it was a good find and you made something beautiful out of it. I am not a crafter and I felt like I could still do that if I chose too. Thanks for making it accessible.

When my husbands grandmother passed, the family had to cut the backs of every framed art and had to take all of the family pictures out of the frames because she would hide money behind pictures. Loved the mirror, turned out great!!!

I've never been to Kirklands. Some absolutely beautiful items but too pricey for me. I've been fall shopping in my garage 😂 I did a project like this without the clay things.
