EVERYONE! Andy is in a glass case because drums tend to drown a lot of the guitars/bass/vocals out. The glass house thing is to contain the noise of the drums so patrick, pete, and joe's mics don't pick up the drums. Thus making more clarity in the recording. This is needed especially in a live broadcast. Don't worry andy's drums are mic'd. FALL OUT BOY FOREVER :D

I'm noticing more - more-so nowadays, post hiatus - how little Pete bothers to accurately play his songs live. The bass in this has none of the subletly's of the recording, the open A as the 8th note in the verse, the hammer-ons in the bridge... Disloyal Order of Water Buffaloes is the worst example. I saw that live back in '09, he played it nearly perfectly while strumming across the bridge, it was spectacular - and nowadays he just plays mess in the verse and bridge, no fills or anything. It's completely different to the recording, he just doesn't bother. Kindof disappointing as he inspired me to pick up learning bass in the first place.
@platexproductions
Жыл бұрын
@@kleinkaufman8940 I wish you could have seen him play before the hiatus. He was messy as hell, but he was able to do insane movements with his left hand muting strings and strumming across the neck, and making it look cool doing so. He used to do subtle up-slides on the ends of notes that could sound like sliding down... he's not the dumbass you think. The whole thing was done with a casual punk carelessness, which stood out against the endless ranks of boring insecure losers stood with one foot on the speaker, palm glued to the bridge etc that we had at the time. Not to mention, screaming isn't shouting. He was the vocalist in a metal band before Fall Out Boy. Why would the 8th note being the open string have anything to do with palm muting? :L

2 days ago on a video from TEN YEARS AGO! isnt KZread awesome?!? 👊👊👊 cheers
I found it awesome that Joe and Pete played Squiers
3:10 this smile means "I usally move my hands to the audience when I sing this"
How can you look that composed and calm while fucking jamming?
it's great to see a famous band using a squier!!!!
That telecaster to die for!
ANDY IS IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION
Folie out Boy
Woww man, Patrick has changed A LOT! just.. wow..
@jjointer yeah but he had his tech replace the pickups and set it up (joe) and pete said in interviews his basses are actually fenders he just has them put squire in the headstock
patricks silver high tops are iconic
I feel like that mic didn't really do Patrick's heavenly voice justice But still love this
1:24 for an ear-gasm and a lot of memories of the good days.
ahhhh joes guitar is beautiful :O
Joe playing a John 5 Squier tele. I've been debating buying one myself
i heart you guys !! fall out boy !!!! yeah baby! (pete wentz= cutie and cutie and more cutie!!)heart you pete
thats why i clicked it, i was like oh acoustic subway version lol
Patrick you fucking cutie pie uuuughhh
god patrick has gorgeous eyes!
Because Squier is a good make who make great guitars. Some people just find a guitar they love and couldn't imagine playing anything else, they don't always have to be Fender or Gibson :)
I like Joe's intro a lot. I wish I could tab that out.
After their three year hiatus, Patrick got wayyyyy better.
@spoonido yeah as long as it plays good and has good pickups im sure joe likes it, hes been plays HH tele's for years and that j5 tele does look sweet
I love Pete's hair oh my word
I fucking love all of them😍 AND FUCKING PATRICK AND PETE GOD I FUCKING LOVE THEM
Joe sounds like Chris Griffin
Dude on the bass is real virtuoso
they played it in the bnd world tour here in the philippines :D
ok just me...who died at the pete close up? yeh thought so
They stuffed a wild Andy in a booth
That Skywalker Ranch t shirt. Also why does Joe use a Squier too? Plz tell me
that's a good reason
Seeing Pete sit down to play feels wrooooong. However, Im sure the sound guys appreciate it given that he plays like a maniac when hes jumping around and performing.
It's THE reason.
Aww Pete, trying to play bass xD
ya no estaban tan alegres como antes
Patrick's high-tops!!!:o WOW
Patrick hits his pitches pretty well in the video.
bring them back pleaseeee!! The Phoenix!! or Uma thurman!!

This was before all that happened...
Is Patrick wearing converse!?!
if your really looking for it its the j5 signature tele model by squier
Patrick looks very cute and chubby here ^^
Agreed, Sometimes a band not playing well is due to crappy audio equipment..Awesome set here though.
@Pvanid I was thinking the same thing!
What a fucking bass
@dpinkpoweranger just watch his hands, thats how i learned now i always play it the way he does in this video
@bobertsrule they're kinda in a small radio station with a lot of wiring around them.
love them!
He's older in this video but he sounds different in the album cuz he was real young and his voice was different but i gotta say i kinda agree
Is that a Squier Telecaster? What model?
@RandomNumber56 i was thinking they were playing at a subway station
@superspyko i think he's using a John 5 signature series telecaster.
@santacruzforlife Pete always uses squires, all his signature basses are squires. Joe normally uses his signature Washburn but he also has a signature Squire Telecaster. However the squire tele he uses in this vid isn't his signature one. :S
'No offense but why does patrick look fat in this one' -_- new fan over here
