Okay. This next song made my ENTIRE NIGHT.
Everyone that knows me knows that Motion City Soundtrack is a band that means the world to me.
There’s a song on the first Fall Out Boy album (“Take This to Your Grave”) called “Chicago Is So Two Years Ago” and towards the outro of the song, Justin Pierre of Motion City Soundtrack sings with Patrick Stump.
Since Justin is from Minneapolis, I had hoped but didn’t expect him to sing it with them, since it seemed unlikely. It’s been nearly TWENTY years since Justin joined them on stage to sing his part. BUT HE JOINED THEM ONSTAGE DURING THE SHOW. My prediction was correct!!
I was so damn ecstatic. One of my favorite singers and musicians joining other favorite musicians of mind made the entire show for me. History was made!!
