Azir is probably my favorite champ lore wise.

Im so glad they made azir a ruler that ( though got greedy) had his heart in the right place. Hearing how torn he was and acted when being brought alive was touching. Instead of making him some power hungry ruler of evil because I've always loved azir and personally always wished him to be like this :)

I think Azir's lore is one of the best. I get chills every time i read or hear it. I also love how they conected Shurima with Ionia in the lore of the new champion. Still Azir's lore my favorite :)

Xerath took the ascencion away from Azir in a act of pure hatred. For all those years, not for being freed. Also, "Old azir" was against slavery, but now that he saw that he cannot trust Slaves like Xerath, he will probably start enslaving people again. That's what i got.

xerath didn't want to kill him when he said that, but everything was already in place and he knew his plans couldn't go back as he sent nasus and renekton to go deal with the "spirit of fire" (brand) he would easily get caught, so his only option was to kill azir

That's terrible that this whole destruction was caused by lack of comunication between Azir and Xerath

Lot of interactions (mainly Taliyah) ask him to move on. All honestly, would you? I was shunned all of his life by his father and when it was his time to shine he turned Shurima into the greatest empire ever to be seen in Runeterra. He was great and people loved him. And at his greatest moment, he lost it all. His home, his family, and his people (also his life.) Then he’s revived generations from where he once was, only to not care about anything other than helping a random girl he’s never met before. If you lose all of that and still are so selfless you’ve earned your spot as emperor. Now Riot buff him

Omg I wish there would be an event like for an all Shuriman team fight like how there's an event for Rengar/Khazix, CaitlynVi/Jinx. I want an Azir vs Xerath event pls ;-;

I hope that they will do something with this insted of just leaving it like this. I really would like to see how Azir and Taliyah will interact. Especially since Azir whishes to remake Shurima but I dont see him as someone who would enșlave the tribes like Taliyah fears but would insted unite them.

They said Sivir was the last in the bloodline, so probably not. It is cool to see how Taliyah is afraid of the enslavement of her tribe when Azir freed all of Shurimas slaves as the last thing he did before he "deded". However only Xerath could know that before Azir got "lived" again, so I guess she has a fair point for being afraid of it.
