My husband and I went to Stockbridge several years ago and we went into that small brick building just down from the Inn. I believe it was a Yankee Candle Shoppe when we were there but, originally, it was a bank. While we were standing in there, the lady running the shop that day told us that the painting that Rockwell painted of the young couple signing the marriage certificate with the "bored" justice of the peace sitting in the chair, were actual people that Rockwell knew. She told us that we were standing in the very spot that the couple had been standing for the painting. She also told us that the couple was still married and about to celebrate 70 some years of marriage. =)What a special memory that was for us!

I am newer to your channel and have very much enjoyed your content. Thanks for letting me come along to the Berkshires. I live in a house on a hill in the Catskills and the mountains are right there. There are seven of us in our very cozy and little cottage! Been here sixteen years raising my five young children who are mostly now grown up. This is my most favorite time of year. Made pear sauce the other day...smelled so good. If you all were my neighbors I would send you over some. Happy anniversary! I am now married twenty eight years. You both remind me of our own selves in our earlier years. Take care for now. My husbands father worked in your area for many years. I will look forward to another visit soon....

What a lovely place to choose to celebrate your anniversary. It's one of my favorite places too. I love going to the Norman Rockwell museum and dining at the Lion's Inn, but never stayed there nor went to the apple orchard there, so I can add that to my bucket list😊. I'm from the eastern part of Massachusetts just a couple of towns over from Concord, and never knew the sculptor for the Minuteman statue had a summer home there. My mom, sister, and I used to love to visit such places. Sadly mom passed away, but it's now something my sister and I would like to resume together so thank you for letting me know of it. I get so excited when I see you have posted another video. I love many of the same things as you and enjoy them so much❤

I loved that area - it was one of the most beautiful places we ever visited. I loved Rockwell's museum, The Hancock Shaker village (the pics were great as I was teaching a 10th grade English class a novel about a Shaker family), and we saw a Shakespeare and company play performed in a barn in Lenox. We went to Maine to see Nathaniel Hawthorne's home, and the Salem witch and Pirate museum, as well. Thanks for this awesome memory!

Happy October 🍁🍁🍂🍂! and Happy Anniversary! Good choice , the Berkshires. Now the first of December was covered with snow. And so were the Berkshires, from Stockbridge to Boston. Though the Berkshires seemed dreamlike, on account of that frostin ❄❄❄❄. A magical place to soak up the essence of Rockwell. New Hampshire has a similar ambiance in Autumn. We plan to go 🍎🍎 apple picking soon. Stockbridge suits you both to a tee!

I was so impressed when I got my tea order the other day from Tea Spectral. I ordered Bibliophia it's the blackberry , sage and vanilla flavored tea. When I opened the box I found a card with this order. I was so pleased to see an old fashion waxed stamp on the back to close the envelope. Much to my surprise inside was a very nice Thank You for supporting small business note and 2 small colorful fall leaves. I am sitting here drinking a cup of your tea blend. I am usually not a fan of decaffeinated tea but I use loose tea all the time. This is a really good blend. I added some honey and some almond milk and it is delicious flavors come pouring through.. I live in Massachusetts my favorite time of the year is right now! I was born and raised in Milford, Massachusetts I now live in Worcester Massachusetts on the outskirts. I hope you enjoy your trip.

There are so many beautiful places in this world to see and enjoy. I traveled while I had the time and money and never regretted it. I made travel an educational opportunity as well every place has their own trademark and beauty and customs. This world was given to us to enjoy and care for. Your videos make me realize this world is what we make it. You bring peace and beauty into a difficult time. I judt returned from sleepy hollow from my Halloween trip. such a lovely video! a few years ago, my parents surprised me with a birthday trip to the berkshires, particularly to visit the home of my favorite author, edith wharton. her home is called the mount and it is an absolutely magical place to visit. even if you’ve never read her works, you’d enjoy it (my dad loved seeing all the splendid architecture)! definitely recommend the mount for anyone planning a berkshires trip!

There are north towns that are even prettier... Adams, with Mount Greylock and North Adams Mohawk Trail, Savoy rte 116. Northern Berkshire country always gets forgotten

You should try north Berkshire county Cheshire Adams north Adams ect I lived her my whole life it’s amazing the sites you can see

The Red Lion inn and 51 Park were the only restaurant we tried in the Berkshires ✨
