Looks good. i did a lawn renovation and overseed. i did KBG mix with rye grass in my front sunny yard and shade mix (fescues and a shade tolerant KBG) from seed supper store. i used peat moss to cover. came in great but the past couple weeks the squirrels and chipmunks have decimated the new grass. Basically now looks like a hundred golfers using my back yard for practicing iron shots leaving the divots. The front however is lush. I think the back will come back strong in the spring. i resorted to trapping squirrels to thin the population down (catch and release far far away 10 plus miles). I added Aer 8 and RGS from NEXT along with the green pop. We had perfect seeding weather (central Illinois), not a lot a rain but at least i did not have any washouts from to much or too heavy rain.

Barenbrug is the bomb! I did 15,000 square feet of their TTTF back in lat Aug. It has come in so very thick. The texture and thickness is incredible. I actually did an 80/20 mix of their TTTF and KBG. It's more expensive but SO very worth it. I believe I had germination in about 5 days of the TTTF and 2 weeks for the KBG.

I have the Sun Joe dethatcher and it works great on my bermuda! Grass was so dang thick. Cut north n south and east n west and diagonally. Finished it off with the Sun Joe and it pulled up half a green waste can of dead grass!

I found out that my local mulch/compost/etc guy has a fancy automatic compost spreading machine. He will deliver and spread for $100/yd. I will never roll compost in a roller/spreader again :)

Have you thought about adding some fine fescue seed in the shaded areas? Just a thought

Love my Greenworks dethatcher. Have had it since 2019 and has been a back saver. Cord is not a problem and love they give you replacement tines as well. Nice work as always and nice results. #GOYANKEES2024

That one shady spot that you’re always haveing a problem with the tttf is a tuff spot ! Doesn’t get a lot of sun ☀️ man! You’re always gonna have problems there because trees ! The leaves wreak havoc on tttf because if the leaves stay on top of the tttf it’s not a good thing ! Sure some leaves are ok but that spot you have right there is problematic. Dead spots in your lawn in proper drainage I would probably put bricks if it where me don’t give me wrong, it can be done, but not without a lot of hard work and maintenance because of the tree leaves good luck 🍀🫡

Thanks! I actually added some drainage that I will share in my next video. Hopefully that will help. But it will always be a battle.
