Breckenridge is one of the best places in Colorado to see the fall colors. At the end of September to early October, the Aspen trees light up into a golden show. Breckenridge is only a 1.5-hour drive from Denver and is nestled in the Rocky Mountains Tenmile Range. Breckenridge is known for its ski resorts, but it’s definitely a destination you don’t want to miss in the fall. It offers a charming downtown area full of dining and shopping, scenic drives, beautiful lakes, a famous troll statue, and so many outdoor adventures-it’s full of amazing things to do, eat and see with the added bonus of mountain views surrounding you. Amazing. We went to Breck for the first time in our lives a few months ago. It, literally, is one of the most beautiful places on Earth! I want to move there, yesterday! Thank you for sharing and keeping it in our hearts and minds!

Your vlogs on Breckenridge, Estes park, Mt Evans and Aspen were an inspiration for our Colorado trip.. Wonderful places all three.. but Breckenridge is just heaven on earth , specially in fall colors.. thanks for sharing!!

Skied at Breckinridge in the 90's. My sister used to work in Breckinridge.
Breck is an amazing time in the fall, I love the mix of green pines, golden aspens and the white of the snow just capping the mountains..

Great video Jeanie! I’m considering going the first week of October but I’m worried about snow. The weather looks great during your time.
Your videos are great! Thank you for showing us that amazing piece of Colorado! I've been once to Frisco, Vail and Breck and heading to Colorado again in the 1st week of October. We are planning to visit Breckenrigde again. Do you recommend another place to visit in the mountains not too far from Denver (we just have 2 days)? By the way, I LOVE the colors of the Fall!! The leaves get amazing, can't wait to see that! The 1st time we've been there it was in the late Summer/beginning of Spring, so everything was green (but also beautiful). Thanks in advance!
My wife and I take the trip from the Springs up the back way, HWY 24 route every first weekend in Oct and it's simply stunning! Beautiful! But some of these place I have never visited, thanks for the suggestions. Next Oct we will leave earlier and check out some of your spots. I am sure you have seen it, but we get a candle at the Global Candle Store on Main ST every year. Out of room in our bathroom. But they are really neat.

How is CO sep 16-18 ? Is it in fall mode
I am looking into the Blue Lakes as an elopement location. I've heard that to see the fall colors; the 2nd or 3rd week of Sept are the best ones. Would you say that is accurate? What date would you recommend the most to see the Blue Lakes like this?

We visited Breckenridge October 3! And some areas were already dropped...but still beautiful! I would say 3rd weekend of September would be great for fall! But each year can be slighty different. Congratulations on your engagement!
