Recipes:
Sourdough Donuts:
theflavorbells.com/sourdough-doughnuts-recipe/#recipe
(I added cinnamon and upped the nutmeg for more of a fall flavor)
For the glaze I mixed icing sugar, egg whites, vanilla, cinnamon, and whole milk till it was a nice consistency. You can omit the egg white, but it really helps stabilize the glaze so it sticks well to the donuts.

I agree! I think just taking in the experience and surroundings of being on the farm with just video and classical music for the audio would be so enjoyable to watch!
I have never seen a kettle like this to make grape juice. Can you buy these anywhere? Love to see the kiddies having fun making the doughnuts and frosting them. You work really hard as a homemaker. What a good wife and Mother!!!
what a hardworking, beautiful family! i imagine the challenges of "working the land", the unique roles of men and women, and the blessing of having kids! what a gift! what a beautiful life! God bless your family 💕🌻

Hey..concord grapes are always a looked forward too treat in fall. Someday maybe i will attempt raising them myself. Altho raising fruit in Oklahoma is challenging with wind, hail, drought and flood lol..all the extremes. This year i ordered alot..canned 21 qt and have lots for snacking on in the fridge! Fall means yummy baking and candles...love the cool weather and slower pace from gardening and outdoor work. Only have fall green beans to can and i m done. Earlier than usual...cause i often have pumpkin to do and pizza sauce( i save tomatoes in the freezer to do when the summer pace slows) but this year i have my 16 yr old daughters help and its been wonderful! Love the dahlias..my mom used tohave them in her garden when we lived in Maryland years ago. Blessings on your family! You are amazing with those littles..the donuts looked yummy..something i have rarely made ! My husband didnt want me to make them when my kids were little because he knew of a friend that got burned badly..but it s on my bucket list to do now that my kids are teenagers n older😊🤗

Aww I so enjoyed getting to know you a little bit through your comment, Sharon! Thanks for sharing 💗 Sounds like you had a busy, but super successful gardening season! That’s amazing!!
In answer to the question about what I am most excited about...that would be wrapping up the garden and turning the focus more on indoors. We bought a fixer upper homestead last spring and I'm excited to get started on the home again! I don't know if I will be decorating for fall this year but I would love too. I may have to settle for living vicariously through your video 😂! The vineyard clips here were stunning, BTW.

We had concord grapes, cherry trees, lots of flowers, and a big garden when I was growing up. My mom made jelly from the grapes. She would have liked you!

Yay!!! Happy Fall!! 🍁🍂🌻🪵🔥❤️ I am totally into getting started learning how to make sourdough bread! I have learned how to make all sorts of fermented veggies, homemade kefir, yogurt, crème fresh, butter and cheese balls from raw milk and also Kombucha! 😍🤤 Sourdough is my last mountain to tackle and I’ve always been nervous about starting it and what in the world to do with the discard other than, well, discarding it lol! Thank you so much for your videos and recipes!! DELISH! ❤️❤️

@@thisgoldenhour Thank you!! I started my journey with the GAPS diet and that’s how I learned about all the fermented and cultured foods to make! I also suffer from Chronic Lyme and was just diagnosed a little over a month ago. 😔 I don’t really suffer with joint pain and heart issues. Mine is more brain fog, memory issues and fatigue. My Naturopath wants me to try a $4,000 treatment and I just can’t do that. I’ve watched your video about your journey with Lyme. I am trying to heal myself naturally and not go the antibiotic or even the herbal route as herbals, (as many as he wants me to stack) can get very expensive also, sheesh! Eating whole, organic foods is the road I’m going down. I am however doing a treatment once every 2 months called LDA Immunotherapy to help heal my food sensitivities/ intolerances. I’ve had a lot of gut issues too that are healing. Slowly but surely! Thank you for your wholesome videos. You are such an inspiration! ❤️❤️

Thank you for your lovely videos 😊 you have inspired me to get back into my garden and I would love to have a try at growing Dahlias 😊 I live in New Zealand so I am sure they will love our warm summers 😊. Do you have any tips Steph for picking them for vases - do you put the stems in hot water as I have read about this method a lot on utube ? Take Care from your biggest fan in New Zealand 😊

That’s wonderful, Bernice! Thank you so much for your kind words too! Yes, I immediately put the dahlia stems in hot water and then once I’m ready to arrange, I put them in a vase with cold water and flower food.😊
WHAT A GREAT VIDEO! WE IN GREECE MAKE THE GRAPES IN THE POT WITH SUGAR, SOMETHING LIKE JAM, BUT IT IS WHOLE, WE DON'T MELTEN IT! WE CALL IT SPOON SWEET BECAUSE WE SERVE IT WITH A SMALL SPOON A LITTLE BECAUSE IT IS VERY SWEET! BUT WE PUT IT ON YOGURT OR ICE CREAM! GREAT DONUTS! I LIKE THEM WITH NUTELLA AND COLORFUL TRUFFAKES!

You have had that rolling pin a long time .can you tell us where to get it please 💋🌹💋
How do you keep birds away from the grapes?
Hi, loved the video! Do you do anything else to the grape juice? Does it get sterilized before you put it away? I love that you homeschool the kids. My daughter was homeschooled from 2nd grade to graduation. Now, she's in nursing school. It does a parent proud to see their kids succeed from being homeschooled. Keep up the great job.
I love watching your videos! PS where did you get that adorable outfit with the blue floral long sleeve t-shirt from? :)
