Oh my God , the concept of this animation just fabulous, i can't imagine how the simple reason of growing tree goes to that end

I have a theory. Remember all those "monsters" from various myths and legends? What if they were peaceful and only looked scary to frighten humans away. They very well might've been guardians of forests, animals, etc...

This isn’t Bigfoot, this was the Deer God, the Forest spirit, who the Japanese call Shishigami, the deer god is also on Princess Mononoke.

That’s it . . .see something beautiful and magical and shoot it. Wish I had such a creature in my forest. It reminded me of the Lord of the Wood, the forest’s soul.

That was heart breaking.

Not all big, scary things are harmful. Not all little sweet things are harmless. Intent. Motive. Focus. Desire. Love and Hate. Those are what makes up the individual, not a face, body, skin or bones.

I wish he hadn't shot the magical creature, he meant him no harm...but he figured that out too late. I like that both characters defy identification as any one animal. They are a mix of sorts. Perhaps we all fear things that are different from us.

That creature were their to ease him, that shinning marks were their gaving out by somebody than convert to him, which gave ability to anyone to finished unwanted plants where it grew.

Of course, the creature met harm otherwise he wouldn’t have shot. The animal wasn’t menacing him at all. Just like human beings shoot first ask questions later.

I don't get it. The main character is frustrated because he (I'm guessing a he), is struggling keeping his garden cut back because every morning after doing so, it's overgrown again. He discovers there's a creature that everything he (guessing another he) touches sprouts vapid growths. So the first guy shoots him, then runs over and touches him, I'm guessing he has remorse over popping him? That's not clear, but he touches him and gains the power he killed the first one over having. I get the frustration, but it's also kind of brutal and not clear how he feels, or why this is an issue for him in the end, other than he'll never get his garden cut back. There are a lot of things I like about this film, but I don't get it or the message, but I'd like to

I brought up things it might be, that I have to stop and question if that's what it's supposed to be or not, instead of getting caught up in and enjoying the story. And the things I brought up, I also meant as if that's what it is, it doesn't make sense. And if you look at other comments on here, some say it's one thing, and others another. So it doesn't look like many get it.

Okay. I may be a little tipsy right now but this seriously made me get teary-eyed! 🥰

A good idea. But it requires more work on the details. The farmer kills the Keeper and immediately begins to feel sorry for him. Too fast. What changed his mind? A second ago, he was sure he was right. The moment of realizing the mistake (where the leaf and the forest fall) and remorse would be more correct to transfer to the time between the shot and touching the Keeper. Then the Farmer's regret will be more understandable. He understands that his selfishness has led to a catastrophe. Regret makes him touch the Keeper. And a touch gives knowledge of how he can atone for a mistake.

1. I have no idea, it was probably some kind of original creature made by the creator. 2. I think they were the embodiment of growth, life, and nature, so when they died it represented fall, since that's when things start to die.

I did not understand what it was trying to say. The plants kept becoming overgrown. Then they were gone and the wendigo-looking animal was walking away. Why did the bear shoot it? What was transferred at the end?

I don't believe the killer understood that he was shooting at a God. The God did not die, the creature was transformed by the God. In life, perspective is everything. I don't believe we have the proper perspective for very much anymore. If you need to eat, & you have raised the vegetable or animal well, killing to feed your family is acceptable, as the circle of life 🧡🧡
