That's good

As much as seeing Argentine graves is laudable, there are no mentions of the sacrifice of British Forces or the islanders in this video which give the Falkland Islanders there independence. I say this as a member of the British task force that liberated the Islands from the Argentine occupation in 1982 from an illegal invasion. I have spent the best part of 3 years on the Islands over the decades since the war and find them resilient to the threats and making provision for the population using the the resources and wildlife as a means for future generations.

Many visitors choose to arrive via Chile. LATAM operates a flight every Saturday from Santiago, Chile (SCL) returning the same day. A stop is made each way at the southern Chilean city of Punta Arenas (PUQ) where customs formalities for Chile are completed. Once a month the flight stops in Rio Gallegos, Argentina (RGL).

And then they appointed a commander and 2 governors despite British warnings, and they mishandled the islands, which included the Lexington raid on the Argentine settlement. So Britain kicked the Argentine garrison out. The settlers stayed.

The Falkland Islands shouldn’t be disputed. The residents living on the island voted overwhelmingly to remain British. Over 90% of the citizens. There are no Argentinians living on the islands so I don’t know why there are so bothered about it.

In 1982 Argentina invaded the islands and the uk broke diplomatic Relations with Argentina. Following the war all Argentine citizens living and working on the islands and were evicted and all emigration from Argentina was banned until 1991 following this immigration is still heavily controlled due to Argentine refusing to apologise or removing there claims to the islands. most of the population who lived though the war hates Argentinians.

Being so close to Argentina, it's quite surprising that Falkland Islands is still a British colony. Was Argentina not man enough to take it back? Colonization in this Era.

They dramatically under estimated the response from Britain when they tried to take it in the early 80s, and we're talking about one of the strongest military powers in the World who had to travel over 8000 miles to retrieve it and still did. It was a way to draw Argentinian public attention from the issues within their own government at the time and I think they hoped there wouldn't be any response from their invasion.

So we stocked our ships with British beer and bullets, We mobilised the navy and we called up the marines, We sailed 2 weeks till we reached the Falkland Islands, So we could teach a lesson to those bloody Argentines!

100 million deaths ? If that is a veiled comment against the British empire that lasted 300 years I would say our medical advances alone save billions of lives , India alone trebled its population under our governance and Chairman Mao killed up to a 100 million in 20 years . Sometimes it’s better to stay quiet and have people think you might be thick , than open your mouth and confirm it.

Better to visit the south of Argentina, it is much cheaper, much more to see, the islands are to see only one day, can't be compared 👌

Argentina and all of Íberoamerica should have never seeked independence from Spain. God damn Simone Bolívar and Jose Marti. If Íberoamerica were still SPAIN then I guarantee you the British would have never been able to conquer the Falkland Islands. Remember July 4th independence day from England. Spain has defeated England before when George Washington declared victory thanks to Spain against the British piratas.

It is curious how in the comments section people said "the islands belongs to UK" but there are more videos about the islands made by Argentines than by British... so far I have only seen five videos, it is curious that people give so little visibility to a territory that they swear to d34th that "belongs" to England As an Argentine, I hope that one day a peace agreement can be reached 😔

Just remember Argentina was colonised by Italians and Spanish and it’s natives are treated as second class citizens. The Falkland Islands are a British overseas territory. As long as the citizens of the Falkland Islands wish to remain close to GT. Britain, it shall remain so. We didn’t send a task force in 1982 thousands of miles away from the U.K. to retake the Falkland Islands for nothing, and we won’t let it be invaded again. You need to respect that! Yes we can work together but the Falkland Islands will never be under Argentinian control.

Hey Lisa, the possessive its does not take an apostrophe. It’s always is a contraction meaning it is. Your title does not make sense. You need the word “their” to match islands not “it’s.” Then your title will make sense.
