FALDERASEE total ! | Over 1 hour of rc ships cruising at lake Faldera
Ages ago, Modelboatowners tend to meet on Sunday mornings to sail their rc models on a pond or lake nearby. This tradition got a little bit lost year after year. Most clubs or associations used model fairs or just met in the evenings to build or discuss their Ships or their Problems with them.
Sometimes they just decide to "play around" with their models... like this time. Wood has got to be moved,.. so let´s move it!
Vor langer Zeit trafen sich Modellbootbesitzer regelmäßig am Sonntagmorgen, um ihre RC-Modelle auf einem Teich oder See in der Nähe zu bewegen. Diese Tradition ging Jahr für Jahr ein wenig verloren bis sie ganz einschlief. Die meisten Clubs oder Verbände nutzten Modellmessen oder trafen sich nur abends, um ihre Schiffe oder ihre Probleme beim Bau zu diskutieren.
Manchmal aber trifft man sich auch einfach nur um mit seinen Schiffchen zu spielen. :-)

I tend to enjoy the ships on the lake opposed to the pool. That old steamer and sailing ships were magnificent models. The pilings by the shore, was the placement of those from the model club....they are perfect for maneuvering. Great video

Wonderful boats
The sailboat is really special. It looks like a well done model and the black and red paint is nice. All the different camera positions really were great and watching it heeled over on what looks like a pretty windy day was beautiful. I also liked the little green "Elcano" fishing boat. Very clean and nice wake at speed.

Great video and I enjoyed immensely. I am a little surprised that there are not any Taucher O. Wulf tugboats . Tugboats are suppose to be slow and very maneuverable and this video showed some of that. Thanks! .

Wonderful scale models, it's such a shame that countless hours are spent getting the detail perfect then sail them at 2 or 3 times the scale speed. The stiff paper flags look good on the model sitting on a shelf but a silk flag would look fantastic blowing in the breeze while sailing in a pond or lake. Maybe not practical but it would be great to see 👍👍

Actually there are two scale speeds... one that fits the speed and one that fits the waves.. the one in regards of the (GPS- or Speedo-) Speed is easily calculated.. the one which shows the correct Bow-Wave or the movement in the water is mostly estimated... and taking in regard, that we do scale down the speed of nearly each of our videos mostly to 33 percent,.. the optical speed (with the mostly correct bow-wave) is even harder to guess... ... and then there are the Gliding-Tugs 😣... where a hull never ment to leave the water planes on top of it... 😖😭😢🤢.... And I'm totally with you about them... 🙄

Oooh,..and about the Flags.. if course you are right with the paper flags... but also silk flags tend to need quite some wind-force to start to move... most rc models (in scales around 1:50 or 1:100 would have left the water by then)😉
