Greatest team in NFL history, I’d put the 91 Redskins against anyone.

Yup. People forget. They were unstoppable and made it look easy.

Victims of their own humility: they've been historically overlooked in no small part because, unlike some other legendary teams, none of the players have made it their life's work reminding anyone within earshot how great they were.

There was nothing flashy or exciting about this Washington team but it just showed you how much hard work and teamwork pay off cuz they ran the tables in 91

The '91 Skins were #1 offense and #2 defense. One of the greatest teams ever!! Destroyed 6 playoff teams during the regular season...

Passing against them was near impossible, and trying to stop their deep passing game? Not so fast

Charley Taylor made sure every receiver could block. As a former running back, he knew you could get bigger gains if the receivers could hold off the DBs.

It's amazing with all those missed field goals by Lohmiller that the Falcons were still in this game. The Redskins were clearly the better team and after that game the Falcons just went down the toilet the next season.

I just listened to an interview on Dale Jr.s podcast with Jerry Glanville. He says he and Joe Gibbs havent spoken and are not on good terms because of this game. The groundskeepers would not drain the field until after the game because the mud would slow down the speed of the falcons. Apparently under orders from Gibbs

@@winstoncannady4224 Wow I didn't even know that you learn, something new everyday.I think Joe Gibbs was really worried about the falcons, speed and quickness. To this day I truly believe the falcons would, have given the redskins fits.On a dry field Joe Gibbs and the redskins would had,a very hard time.Beating the Atlanta falcons that day I done lost all respect for Joe gibbs.

@@careyedwardsjr4988 if it wasn't raining and gusting winds of 40 mph then chip lomiller wouldn't have missed 3 field goals. He was the leagues leading scorer as a kicker. Redskins still would've dominated imo. They went on to win the superbowl. Also in case you forgot the redskins beat the falcons earlier that same season 56-17. So yeah it would have been different with a dry field. Gibbs is the goat. 3 superbowls with 3 different qbs. We will never see that happen again.
