We had the difficult task of putting new falconry equipment on Boltcutter just the second day back at our Wildlife Command Center headquarters. We recently reacquired Boltcutter, a Peregrine Falcon hybrid, it's mother was full Peregrine and it's father was Saker and Gyrfalcon. Michael Beran, aka Bare Hands Beran, has been a Master Falconer since 2007. He's a wealth of knowledge when it comes to everything animals, but especially birds of prey. Now that was so much fun to watch barehands he's has a knack for teaching ,seems to be very calm, he is very patient nice guy, she did great like a walk in the park and everyone else good 👍 job done.

From what my teacher said in Falconry, the reason for that hood is to keep the birds calm because their eyes are so powerful seeing movement stresses them… it’s like blinders on a horse…

Is there a reason you don't use grommets on her anklets?

Normally, if we use biothene we will use grommets, but I find that the removable anklets are just super easy to work with easy to change, and just a secure
