Not many will make a specific MR73 holster. Falco is one of the companies out there that has one readily available. Let's take a look...

I like the way you think about firearms...it is a tool and like you said if it saves your life so be it...a firearm is replaceable a life is not...and why not carry the best tool you can afford...

Nice review! I'm currently re-reading "Sixguns" by Elmer Keith and it's interesting to compare his findings regarding belts & holsters to those that are prevalent in today's market. It seems to me a greater emphasis on concealment in the modern era has modified holster design, perhaps to,an extant that some holsters as less than ideal for their original purpose. 👍👍

that is interesting. Just the other week I was using a holster that exposed the entire trigger guard and a "younger" gen shooter was like "bruh you trigger is exposed! What kinda messed up holster is that, get with the program!" and talked about safety hahahahahaha.

I think it’s great that you’re going to carry the MR73. I carry a Colt Python, and never give a thought to its cost. The Manurhin gunsmiths would love that you’re carrying this for its intended purpose. 👍👍👍👍

@@TheOl1911 3” fluted Python. I shoot the 4.25” better at 25 yards, but the 3” carries great. I was going to buy a 2.5” Python today, but I already have a 2.5” 686+…on my waist.

Awesome that you are carrying it. Love the channel btw, you are not alone there are a LOT of revolver addicts out there. GIGN dudes carried/carry that MR73 for a reason. If you check out the video of the Lakeview Church incident, you can see the logic for a .357 Magnum in at least 4 inches. The ability of a skilled shooter with a .357 that is accurate and reliable (no Taurii please) to go up against a bad shooter with a rifle should not be dismissed. [The video itself is depressing and sobering, given the performance of the police there in uniform.] Yes you give up capacity. But the gamification of CCW is oversold. I have yet to see video of various incidents where playing John Wick meant a winner. The range that MR73 gives you is not to be underestimated, nor its power.

My only warning about craft holsters is their customer service is terrible. I ordered a shoulder holster for a 1911. They sent me a shoulder holster for a beretta 92, asked for pictures proving it was the wrong holster, then said since a 1911 would technically fit into it that it was the right holster. I had to argue with the ladies who did not understand anything about guns or holsters for days trying to get the right holster. They ended up saying i could keep the holster they sent and they would send me a new one for a 1911 that was slightly different. I hate the one they sent and gave the beretta holster to my friend since i dont own one. They are not gun people, and they stated that they dont make any of the holsters they sell they are just a store and falco makes most of their stuff. I personally will never support a company like that again. I will buy falco holsters, just not from craft

Thanks for the honest feedback. Very interesting. This is my first experience with them and honestly the only reason why I looked at them was because they are the only holster company that has something for the MR73 readily available.

I dealt with them once 6 weeks ago. I ordered a holster for my model 19 3 inch. The strap that goes over the hammer was to short to it didn’t contact the button. They requested I send some pictures of the firearm and some pictures of the firearm in the holster with the strap. I received a new one in a few weeks so I didn’t think it was too bad.

Ideally, to carry a MR73, which is a great self defense option, one would want the 3 inch barrel version and order a custom made grip with a smaller print.

I bought a Craft holster hybrid iwb for a Colt King Cobra a while back and its alright. A rivet for the belt clip popped off in the first week but it was replaced with a leather rivet set I had laying around pretty easily. I'm using it for the same purpose as yourself with the MR73, something to tide me over while I wait for a custom holster. I ordered two Kramer holsters in July or maybe August, they should be here soon...

if you want kydex Speed Beez has one (made by Comp-Tac) but I don't know about the quality or if it would conceal well. I think it's a competition holster. Years ago Comp-Tac made a custom one for me for the 4" Pro Series version and it was very nice. Had a ton of definition, etc... but sold it a long time ago. The other company was Raven Concealment when they use to do custom molds. I don't think its the same company today though.

Nice. Enjoy. I’ve enjoyed a lot of the knowledge you’ve shared on here through the years. & I’ve followed your lead on a few things..turned out pretty well each time. The suggestions were things that I was somewhat familiar with mostly .A couple of things didn’t work out for me as well as they seemed to work out for you,but that’s how it works out sometimes. Wasn’t always holsters , but a couple times it was. There was one leather J frame holster ,I believe it was ,you were using for certain situations. Might have been a mid priced production holster that was already out of production at that time…& It’s been so long ago.5 years +.?..was a leather ,OWB possibly, with a little bit of heavy duty elastic sewn into the top.in front of the hammer area. A slight twist was involved with draw & reholstering .If I remember correctly. Black leather, early desantes…maybe. I liked it ,looked into it,found one,and some other things higher on the list of priorities came up..Does that happen to ring any bells?Could have been a K frame holster but definitely a little bit of heavy elastic for retention. & it was working out ok for you at the time. Have thought of that & searched with no luck. Nothing close.

I mean Craft site lists that they have some? But people are saying better just try to find a custom holster maker. For shoulder/chest I do not know who can make one. I guess the issue is the mold. Some say just try to find a K-Frame and it should fit but the few Ks I got this MR73 does not really fit to my liking at all. I'd rather have someone try to make one actually for the MR73.

Mine was a true custom made one back in 2014! so it looked "better". But the Speed-Beez one will probably work but its not really a CCW holster.
