Decided to re-educate myself on your starters after you saying so at the beginning, so it's been a Reoma filled hour (or more)! How could I possibly pick a favourite between Afflictoad, Rotom Ring, and the even spikier Mega Pincurchin? Very excited to see this special surprise!

I had an idea. Maybe, when the ancient weapon was first fired, it reached space, and, while falling back down, the energy that it emited poluted the sky, making a space-jellyfish pokémon unknown to mankind evolve through generations, gaining characteristics of the first ever pokémon to mega evolve, which can also fly to the point of reaching space.

Duuuuuuude! Alt variations of your starters is such a genius idea! This is the only region they can be found in though, but I have an idea. Regional variants make sense for, well, region specific diversity. How about the starter variants you have are habitat variants instead. You already mentioned in Alt Frogue's dex entry and inspiration that it's based more on desert frogs than tree frogs. You can have so much more fun with that! Maybe you can incorporate that into Afflictoad as well, that not only do they represent the status conditions that can be afflicted, but also habitats where they can be individually found in. Like the pure poison type variants can only be found in deep forests, electric type variants can be found in the city, ice type variants can be found in mountains etc.

Not only are these Mons incredible but Splatoon music was used in one of the segments. Based music choice.

Maybe wasn't radiation maybe turning bring art to life? Fail paint isn't work the right way and wonder dolphin true form?

I do like Mega evolution, but I don't disagree in that they often fail to further the concept of the pokemon. While I like many of the existing megas, I would like hypothetical future ones to do a better job furthering the concepts of a pokemon in ways aside from just making them competitively viable. As underwhelming as I found Gigantamax, a couple of them do tie up evolution lines with a nice little bow in ways mega evolution didn't. The pokemon that were already pretty vague benefit the most from current Mega design philosophy imo, like Tyranitar and Aggron, who were already just spiky dinosaurs/kaiju.

This is probably opinion I only have but nudibaro looks like a mega to me

I think Filtater could've benefitted from a wider silhouette and less separation of the head and body, & maybe some darker tones on the inner mouth. Otherwise a super solid premise

You just made sonic as a joke

I wonder if filtater is the final form,it looks more like a middle stage and the base stats seem to be too high

You seemed very excited about Chipper and a little diappointed by Filtater. I totally agree btw. I hopefully plan to revisit that line in the future.
