This video needs an update or something. NECA changed up the paint apps and the mask for recent Walmart releases of the figure.

I was wondering if I was just seeing things or not. I just picked up the Walmart release today and tbh the mask on the Walmart one looks even better than this release. I have the very first clamshell pack release of him too and the eye holes on that one are definitely waaay too small. 3rd release was the charm I guess lol

I think the fake axe head jason looks more screen accurate is that just me?

Im new to this concept of fakes, im interested to know how this is done, how they get away with it using the brand names?

Karl Strausside Neca figures are made in China, the knockoffs are made by the employees, they steal the figures that have slight defects or paint errors and try to fix them themselves.

A lot of these “fakes” are actually just figures that didn’t make it past quality control, which end up in employee hands and sold off. This one however seems to be cast from a different mould.

I honestly think the "fake" one is actually real. On the original movie poster, the outline of Jason was blue just like on the box cover. NECA did do a reissue and I think that is the one you have(the one on the left).

@@earlmurrow8876I’ve seen this at Target as recently as a couple months ago so NECA did reissue unless Target is selling fakes lol. A local toy shop near me also has a couple & every Jason from NECA figure in stock.

I just recently started to pick up neca figures and now I own at least 20 figures, out of those 20 3 are fake as fuck, my ultimate chucky, f13 part 3 and 4 Jason’s... paint on the figures are off or to dark, the box is very noticeable! I will be buying from stores from now on or from neca official website, if you shop eBay, make sure there’s actual pictures of the figure. Thanks for videos like this, it’s hard to believe that people take there time to make bootlegs lol

Not sure if it is in indicator of bootleg vs genuine, but the numbers above the bar codes on the bottoms of the boxes are different.

Dude I can't say enough good stuff about ur vids. I too love these fakes and when they do a good job it kinda gives me a warm feeling inside. The Star Wars black series Boba Fett did that for me as it was a near perfect replica.

@@TheCollectionDimension Well yes it was that figure but not all the fakes said Star Wals. Mine came with the correct spelling on the box (Star Wars) but it was still definately a fake. This is what interests me about these fakes and by that I mean all the different variants of the same fake. Some can better in one area and bad in another. Who is making these and what on earth is going on behind the scenes?

So I put in a order for 2 (smh) of the fakes from different companies to see if there are differences. Didnt want to do it but I want to see because it seems some of these companies are getting really good

P.S. The box thing from China is iffy at best,even w/the legits.I always get boxes(hopefully mint,right?).You may pay a buck more,and its still 50/50.I ordered a boxed figure recently,and it still came in a shoddy plastic bag,w/accessories ,and the box,empty,unfolded,flat and the plastic clamshell on top.i re-built the box.Most times i get VERY lucky,and its ready for display.I have shittons of k/o,s.

I just wanted to let you know you mixed up the masks. I didn't see anyone else mention it, but someone probably has. At the time when NECA released this figure, QC with the masks was their biggest issue IMO. They were either mis-shapen or had the wrong size eye holes. Lol Excellent videos, looking forward to more!

Yes I was looking at the Chevron's, the placement on the fake was in the middle and seemed fatter Where the one on the right was what seemed to be smaller and placed dead center,above the eyes and he did switch them

I got one from Target and my paint is a bit different from both of these. The pants are super clean aside from the one blood spot.

Yo you screwed up on the masks the one with the unpunched holes is the fake plus you can tell by the paint job on the masks go back and rewatch your video and keep a very close eye on the figures and you'll see what I mean

No, the only guarantee is through places that get directly from Neca like Walmart, Target, or FYE. There are business that get directly from neca. I am a wholesaler from Neca so I buy through them so everything is real. Just stay away from places like Alibaba, Aliexpress, Wish or people selling directly from china on Ebay or Amazon.

Their are people that would buy them I just always inform people what they are purchasing. I always ask them if they sell it to please inform the next person also.

Mine looks different from both of these. I bought mine from an authorized retailer.

Not bootlegs u need a boot up were the sun don't shine if u think that there reprinted licensed figures neca if offical and there so worth the money if u have an original good that's amazing and if not good there good

You got the masks backwards. The chevrons give it away.

Exactly....they are all different in their own way. People jump to conclusions and assume they are fake. When you have different batches and re-issues of these figures, there are bound to be slight differences.

@@danzilla0996 I think some of these NECA collectors are just overly nitpicking. Comparing the colors on the box too lol. Perfect example..I collect music CD's and there are some I have doubles of......and the colors on the CD booklet are slightly different shades. Does that mean one of them are fake?? Nope. Just different batches printed at different times. I'm not saying fake NECA's don't exist....but I think some of these collectors are being a little ridiculous.

Sei italiano? Bho, secondo me dipende da dove li prendi se li prendi da Wish che è cinese ti danno una cinesata, se li compri da Amazon che è americano ben o male deve essere originale. Io domani lo compro su Amazon, speriamo sia buono. Spero che hai letto il messaggio, non so se sei un collezionista ma io lo sono comunque se lo sei ti auguro di prendere sempre cose originali.
