    A buddy of mine lost a leg from the knee down but still rides a motorcycle, he takes advantage of the handicapped parking spaces and veteran spaces, and has encountered no small shortage of Karens yelling at him. Usually all he has to do is pull up his left pant leg to reveal the metal leg and they back off but one exceptionally crazy one actually tried accusing him of faking it. How exactly do you fake a metal leg anyway?

    Agreed. I actually do have autism but I don't exactly know how to prove I have it since I have very few symptoms. I mean I can change my voice to sound like a different person, memorize and recite an entire film from start to finish, and I do have a bit of a learning disability but that's about it. And now thanks to Emerald I feel like I have to prove it in some way if I want to make a channel based on "Raising Awareness for Autism", I don't have any plans to do so, but it's very fucked up that this is now a thing thanks to Emerald and many others like Emerald. And unfortunately I very much doubt Emerald was the first to do this shit.

    You ain’t never lie! It has gotten to the point that I, myself almost started to believe deception is acceptable. That’s how bad it has gotten! I guess we all somewhat inclined to get desensitized when we see it happening so often. Seemingly out of nowhere, all of a sudden we notice that the very thing we knew without a doubt was morally questionable (to say the least) and perhaps even disgusted us in the not so distant past has transformed into something not so bad. Then from there it becomes acceptable. Before you know it you completely accept it and say: “Well. That’s just the way it is nowadays” Then you wake up one morning and find yourself living in the movie “Idiocracy” 😂😂😂 Just shows we can’t take our morals for granted. We must always stay vigilant in order to maintain a healthy moral compass. We can indeed become victims of our environment. Stay vigilant my friends! One ❤! Adonai!

    Agreed as well! I like seeing vids with shocking stuff or "what happened?" scenarios at times, but it irks me to see channels for like, Gordon Ramsay shows, and half of them will say something like "TIMES SO AND SO GOT TICKED OFF" or "THIS KID DID A HUGE CRIME???" and usually, "so-and-so" clips are mostly Gordon when he wasn't the supposed topic of the title, and then there's no talk whatsoever of a kid doing a crime...If even a kid OR crime is mentioned at all! Ones aiming for controversy is one thing since I do enjoy select competitions on television (looking at you, BattleBots), but when unofficial channels just clickbait you with the title and/or thumbnail is another story. Also irks me how I'm seeing a lot of channels going by an actual show or celebrity name, maybe for meme reasons, and then their videos are also clickbait or just not as high quality as you'd expect from an official channel.

    There are also a lot of these "animal rescue" videos popping up from various SE Asian countries that are completely staged. And it's pretty obvious they are staged not just from the odd situations where someone is just filming themselves doing something that makes no sense when they "happen" to hear a cat meowing or puppy barking or something, but also because the thumbnails of those videos would often be a shot of the animal in distress from an angle that never appears in the video, proving that the animal was put in that situation and then photos were taken before the filmed portion of them "discovering" the animal and "saving" it...

You push the button and you get a bit of warmth, it's short-lived, I don't even have a guess as to how long it would stay on. I miss Chicago, I miss the pizza, I order it every now and then but I believe I've mastered Lou Malnati's.❤❤❤ and Gino's East. My all-time favorite was stuffed spinach at Carmen's in Evanston. The TicksandRoses one... "Very pleasant 27-year-old left-handed lady" I've been to a few doctors over the years and done several diagnosis, especially regarding my asthma and skin conditions, and in none of them was I ever discribed as "pleasant" or "left-handed" because those are two aspects that do not matter in a medical diagnosis.

  • @TheWheelBry

    This isnt defending them. But ive had doctors write letter saying exactly that, or mention other random stuff like what im studying at uni. I found it weird but i think it depends a) on the type of dr you see cos these details may have an impact on treatment/diagnosis. For instance affect your ability to write if symptoms are affecting your left side. And b) on when the dr trained (it seems quite an old fashioned formal way to write). So they say " i met this pleasant lady" instead of saying i met * name *. Again i know it sounds weird but it does happen but that doesnt mean im defending tics and roses at all. But i also hate that people who are online who actually have disabilities/chronic illness get bullied and called fake when theyre not

    @@TheWheelBry Every doctor me or my family has been to never mentioned any of those nor will it ever happen. Sounds more like a strange personal habit rather than the norm. Most doctors tend to be professional and talk to their colleagues the same way, not like they're talking to a toddler. Plus, most diagnosis have the exact same wording. "Pleasant" and "Left-handed" as well as "lady" do not find their way in there. It's a medical diagnosis letter, not an introduction paper to a kindergarden. I would seriously question my doctor's medical abilities if they wrote something like that. I've also yet to meet a doctor or treatment that affects only one side of the body. Illnesses like strokes or cancer, yeah, those can leave lasting issues on one side, but never the treatment. Again, would seriously question the professionalism of the whole thing. Besides, most people with actual disabilities don't feel the need to go online to make themselves feel better. They're amazing people who live life the best way they can; they don't need nor want awareness, they just want to be treated like normal human beings and respected as individuals.

  • @TheWheelBry

    @TheWheelBry

    @@Raiigen This doesn't change the fact that I've had drs write this, and the Dr wasn't a bad Dr just for writing that. (and yes I did too think it was weird). Saying disabled people don't need or want awareness is wrong. I'm disabled. We definitely do. Especially for rare conditions. And because people think they know what its like to be disabled. But they just made a mockery out of it. Like everything in life, you can do something well and achieve what you intended (ie. Awareness, education) or you can make mistakes/ decisions and which causes problems for yourself and others (like ticsandroses) 🤷‍♀️

This being said, we're speaking with regards to the actual building, not their ways of life. Let's be honest with ourselves, none of us would care quite as much if they simply said hey, we're using machines to build these, and why? Because it's still remarkably impressive and for a lack of better words, it's neat! It's just...we're being lied to and that's unacceptable to me. Yet, when he did do a real prank like his subscribers demanded, he ended up getting charged with a felony, despite the fact that it was the subscribers' fault. They should not have responded as heartily as they did, especially since before their response, he didn't harm anybody, not even a farmer's daughter.

    @@Gillsing though I do see your point, I will slightly disagree with it. After all, something like this has successfully happened before. When various members of the Nazi party were on trial for the various war crimes that their nation committed, they exclaimed that they were merely “obeying the commander’s orders” and that they “had no knowledge of what was happening.” With this excuse, they showed that they did not want the events of the Holocaust to happen but had no way of preventing it from happening. Granted, the two situations are vastly different, and the man in the story was not a high-ranking government official, but he is still not necessarily guilty, due to the previous example. Now, this case is fraught with complications. If he had been a farmer’s son, his father most certainly would have strongly disciplined him. But if something else did cause it, like if he was a victim of bullying, then he may have a valid argument, as though he still would have faced discipline, it would have been less severe, due to the outside influence and someone else’s decisions.
