I am a bald white dad with an Afro-Colombian daughter who has 4b hair. Mom is not in her life, and she struggles with styling and loving her hair. I am going to try to braid her hair myself for the first time, and I am so happy to have found your videos. Yours are the first ones I came across that I think I can actually follow. You show the steps so clearly and explain what you are doing very well. Thank you! I just ordered a bunch of products you use for our first braiding adventure. I am going to need Jesus, God, the Goddesses, my daughter ancestors’ spirits, and your videos to help me with this! My palms are already sweating just thinking about it, but I’m determined to teach her how to love her hair and be in control of it instead of intimidated by it, as she is now. Please wish me luck!!!

Do it as flat twists, it will give you the same effect if you use a cream

I thought this was a sewin. Lol! But I've been doing this same style with a kinky hair half wig that I made...the only thing is that I don't add extension hair to the front and I tuck the ends of my flat twists into the stocking cap.
