This worked beautifully! I'm in a play and they needed a coconut cake that wouldn't melt under stage lights. I almost forgot my lines while admiring my cake onstage. 😄

You got my VOTE!! I made a coconut fake cake with the grated candle it look like coconut but i don't like the waxy feel of it, and i never thought of it perhaps not holding up! Thank you for giving another way of making it without the wax.

What an Absoulty wonderful idea I love this!!!! I bought a bunch of candles in different colors and shred them to use as coconut but i was reluctant to use it because i was afraid they would at some point melt. I didn't realize that polymer clay could be shredded before it's baked! Thank you so much for that tip 😊💖

I guess it could. I have personally never tried or used that method.

Can you let the polymar clay air dry instead of putting it in the oven? I have an African grey parrot and cannot be around anything that has fumes

Polymer clay needs to be baked in order to harden. It will never dry out if left to air dry.

Its always a fun surprise with loads of smiles when I check in on your videos. I have two questions I hope you can answer. I am making a door hanger for Valentine's Day, yes, I am working ahead. It's a valentine with fake chocolates, what can I use as a fake sugar sprinkling over a few chocolates? I now have the coconut ones sorted. I also am going to try corn hamster bedding for nuts, what would you use?

You can use sand or buy fake sugar on Etsy.

Hobby lobby sells the super fine white sand in the wedding decor area and I have found that the best to do sugar coated things unless you're looking for coarse the people on etsy sell a great assortment of crushed glass colors to use as sugar sprinkle ❤
