Fake painter Exposed by Top YouTube channel. We new he was a fraud 👎🏼
I had a subscriber message me He was a bit confused I made this video just to give a little background on myself as well as my training in automotive refinishing. this video It's only meant to answer questions that some of you may have in regards to my skill level. I've put in the work both in the classroom and in the spray booth. hopefully this clarifies things for some of you guys. thank you for your support. 💪🏼

I just so happened to catch that video in my feed that this guy is referring to. Watched it too. Picked up on the same two things that your subscriber mentioned while i watched it, and thought to myself, "Hmmm...That's awfully specific. Mentioning basecoat coverage applications in one coat, and using inexpensive guns and expecting a quality result. Someone must be a little jealous." Then it hit me, and I laughed out loud then smiled just sitting there all by myself. You knockin on his door Trigger. 😁😆 He's not far from you either. He's right around the corner. He's got the benefit of a full Asian highline dealer's body shop, paint booth, paints, equipment, and materials. You're working for an independent privately owned body shop where the owner made the paint booth himself 40 plus years ago, and you got the "Busted Bodyman". You're making the best of what you got to work with and still turning out excellent work. And look at how fast the subscribers are growing now. You're knocking on his door and he see's you. Hahaha 😂 It was nice to hear more of your story my friend. But we don't need to hear that in order to see that you have talent, and to know that you know what you're doing. The results speak for themselves. We can also feel the honestly, sincerity, and humility coming from you. It shines right through. You know what they say - Haters gonna hate. Keep knocking on that door my friend, you're doing just fine. 😉😁

Yea paint society, What is that other one that uses BASF...IDK they are all too commercialized. Triggerman is legit to me. the most legit painter on youtube. But I do like Tonys refinishing and gunman. Truthfully I am a BASF guy.......BASF resins the best. Better then PPG. Although I use a lot of PPG Matthews single stage satin urethane.

@@killadelphia215 IDK but everyone has different painting styles and products they use. Personally with some products I cannot get coverage with the first coat. If I put it on wet it will fisheye. But it is all about the technique. less turns out and slower makes the material go on more even and thinner. So it can be done. Depends on how your setup. tip size, turns out, reducer your using, product, PS has his way and TM has his. Nothing wrong with either. Personally I like TM. he shows reality of painting. Stuff that happens to EVERYONE....times that times 10 and that is the results you get at home. More issues more problems. But the truth is they can all be fixed. TM does not have booth heat or cooling either. Some other channels do. So he shows stuff that works better for DIYers. so do I.
Dang Trigger that was deep and i really felt that. Thank you for sharing your background. You really are a beast with this paint. 4sho thank you man. It's not necessary but it's always a plus to get as many certs as you can especially if it's something you want to pursue as a career. They increase your knowledge as well as your worth and to be honest at the level I'm at now I could never work anywhere painting for under $100,000 per year. There's so much money to be made in this trade it's not even funny. I personally would suggest to get certifications in different paint products as well as ASC, iCar, Not so much as trade school. If You are already set on being a painter then trade school might be a bit much because they will cover everything You will learn body work, estimating, frame machine, painting, structural. Best of luck to you brother and I'm always here if you have any questions I will always reply back to you or you can hit me on Instagram DM if you wanted more private either way ole triggerman is here for you. 💪🏼
TriggerMan ain't no sell out, which is why I come here to learn from you. I'm an electronics Engineer by trade, and I have taken up "messing about with cars". I'm building my self a spray booth big enough to do parts like doors, hoods and trunk lids. I had no intention of doing this for a living, but people are starting to ask me to do jobs for them after they have seen the results of my own jobs. I watch many channels. I don't know what the best is, but I try stuff and when I find what works for me, I take it and make it mine. Your stuff WORKS for me, so I'm happy Bro. THANK YOU.

Hey up triggerman great video and and even better background 👍 I also watched a video the other day of a top KZread guy saying about not putting all your base on in one go.apparently stacking it will cause it to sink into the coat you’ve just put on.I was always told not to do that but as you say materials and makes of paint are different.I’ve been doing this since 16 now 50 and have used cellulose/acrylic/2k etc etc and the last 20 years I’ve been using waterborne basecoat.maxmeyer and ppg and not really had any major issues as sometimes those reds etc are a bugger to cover so you need a good 4-6 coats of water to cover.anyway dude don’t want to bore you all great video and keep them coming the finish of your jobs are top notch 👌👌👌👌
@thetriggerman954

Thank you sir, and yes all about those materials. I've sprayed some paint brands that I have to apply at least 6 coats for coverage and of course that can't be achieved in one coat. Thank you for your input it's greatly appreciated 💪🏼

While it's sad to feel you have to verify yourself, I can also understand the questions. There is a lot of poor guidance out there. On a side note, went to a PPG training course and they recommended (for water base) to double up first coast,first close/heavy with 75% overlap followed immediately with a slower 50% overlap then a drop coat. How things change hey brother... Even PPG doesn't follow the "rules" anymore. Personally, I love your videos, they are the truth. Love your honesty man 😎💪

I can learn from all of them. The biggest thing I've learned is no two painters are the same, no two products are the same, and no two guns are the same. Hey mate just watched this video and you’re killing it. Fast clean work. Iv been painting 30 odd years on and off but man you smash this work out. I watch most of your videos and reviews and think you pretty fair. Obviously you can paint and make the most of any spray gun good or bad and tell it as it is. Keep going fella your channel is a breath of fresh air champ. Love the channel love your work I don’t hit the base as hard as you but we all have different styles. When I was in the uk if I hit base that hard I could get a fry up in Australia now the heat is up and the base pulls less as it’s warmer conditions so I can hammer it a bit more. Either way it’s working for you you show it as it is just keep going your channel will grow 👍

I'm willing to bet my last paycheck the channel this guy is talking about is paint society. I like the guys channel sometimes but he contradicts himself when it comes to guns. In my 7 years of a collision tech I've learned not to argue with painters about paint stuff. I'm not painter. Painters can't argue with me about body work. That being said people do things different ways. I dont repair things the same way my co workers do. What i do works for me. I know what I'm capable of. Im not worried about what the next man does. I see people on KZread do crazy stuff when it comes to fix damage. I don't jump in their comments. I think 99% of negativity you get on this channel are from people who has never picked up a paint gun or sander. They see these others channels and take what they say as law because of the guys personality
@thetriggerman954

Yea I'm not sure what channel it was. And if it is that channel you mentioned it maybe simply because that guy himself is still learning so as he learns more his views will fluctuate back and forth and that is completely fine, but that still doesn't give the right to discredit another professional tech. But it's all good just wanted to let all of you know my background. It's probably something I should have done at the beginning of the channel. Thank you again for your support. ✊🏼

What he says matches up with what i see every day in my shop. I've only disagreed with him once and that involved the use of rattle can primer. My painters hate it so i can't use it. Trigger can do he uses it. It works for him. That's fine. Im not gonna call him a hack just because he uses 1k primer in certain situations. Paint society is more like a tv show now than a learning channel. The guy paints in a new booth with great lighting. Look at triggers booth lol its barely a booth and he shoots glass in there every day even with a 70 dollar gun. That's what a great painter can do. He should have way more sub's than he has but for certain reasons he doesnt
Hello TriggerMan and good day to you Sir. I'm a retired Auto body Technician here in Toronto Ontario. I'm of Portuguese descent and came to this Country when I was 8 years old. Back in the day they called our trade Bodyman and Auto body painter, now we all earned it and the trades are now called Auto Body technician and Auto Body Painter Technician. I now do some body work and painting on the side and came across your channel and thanks to you your videos are not only informative but so much fun to watch because of your happy and cheerful hosting. I've been experi.enting with different budget clears and would like to settle with one that doesn't die back and shrink. I know you get what you pay for but there has to be a good clear that lasts more than a year before peeling and fading

I really dont think that other painter was directing anything to The Triggerman he was juat simply doing things his way and teaching things his way like every other painter,I like you Mr Triggerman as well as the other painter I learn from both and appreciate you both, what I dont appreciate is the dude that raised the 2 questions he knew what he was doing basicly pinning the 2 painters at each other that was not cool, when 2 pros have different ways of doing thing I try to learn both ways and not pretent to be confused . Keep up the good work Mr TM !

I dont think he was pitting the two painters against each because i know exactly the painter he is talking about because i was watching his channel the very same thoughts came to my mind he said in the video dont listen to other painters listen to him on the first coat has to be a light coat and as mention he reviews cheaper guns with great results but always come back to you have to buy a more expensive gun as like the other guy who commented on that i kinda lost respect for the guy when he said dont listen to other painters

Every painter has their own style they practice it they develope it an then they master it. I my self love to get my base coverage in the first coat an for me it is faster an when your painting in a body shop most of the time it is on commision means you get paid for what you paint so time is money an with that being said Triggerman take time out of schedule to help teach new painters the the skill he has master an i for one injoy your video's keep teaching. Maybe we need to change your name to Teacher man

😂😂😂 The Teacher Man. I development that style while I was the only painter operating 2 spray boots, 2 preppers and 8 body men. I had to turn hours like crazy making well over $100k you have to do things that way. Put down your base on one vehicle with most of the coverage, then go put paint on the other vehicle, then go and cut parts, and mix paint for jobs that are coming. So it works in those cases to make the big bucks. Thank you for your support Archery 💪🏼👊🏼
