As a little child, I would have been very happy even with the fake LEGO sets, I would not have mind those slight quality differences for sure. I think the knock off LEGO sets are very good alternatives for people who clearly can't afford the real LEGO. I get you man, thanks for coming forward with this. Unfortunately most around here seem to not understand the price aspect of lego vs fake. This fake one offers quite a lot am I’m absolutely impressed by its offering. I am lucky to be able to afford the real ones and don’t buy any of the knockoffs, but I understand the need for them and I highly appreciate them for what they’re offering. Growing up I had none, so the fakes would have been absolutely amazing for me!

The brand of that fake version is BELA. They ripoff many of the same sets as LEPIN, and frequently they are a bit cheaper than LEPIN.

@@swiftk1ng_894 in all honesty, if the user is not a pretentious prick, the Bela will probably suffice, at leas in terms of building experience and display. The Bela’s for those who either can’t afford the 2x premium of real lego, or those who want most of the experience at half the price. For the first, imho, the Bela is doing a wonderful thing.

If it costs less and it looks THAT good then im defineatly going to be a lepin fan

Lean Mean Green Bean Machine I think so too, partially. With Lego you’re helping pay the designers who spent hours and hours into designing and making the set as good as they could, but with Lepin they just copied the other person’s ideas and they don’t get money. So morally, I think Lego is probably better, but objectively Lepin is the better deal

I’m a plastics injection molder by trade, the difference in molding quality is immediately apparent when you showed the hinged pieces close up. Lots of poor processing errors in that one part.

I'd say stuff like this is decent to buy Lepin of (TIE Fighters, X Wings, especially good if you need more than one) but definitely a jump down in quality with figures.

You can tell the overall plastic quality sucks on the fake one because when you smashed it, even the smallest and most tightly stuck pieces flew out. That must mean there was no friction between the pieces and they were probably slightly off-sized. But the details on these fake ones are getting very impressive.

I brought the fake one on AliExpress it's actually really good I'm not supporting lepin but they sent me 2 for 1 which was really nice.

All I've noticed with the two fake lego sets (King Republic Gunship and Mould King razorcrest) are issues with pieces being too tight/loose, minifigures being meh (and arms and legs being too tight actually), stickers being downright awful and some bends in longer pieces. Almost worth it for the absolutely reduced prices, especially for sets lego doesn't make anymore.

That explosion of pieces looked rlly nice :D

honestly the printing on the knock-off looks like the printing on older lego sets, like the original Indiana jones sets or older Star Wars sets. also at 9:29 the swoosh-ability of the knock of tie fighter really shines through, truly a 10/10 play feature

$70 for that? Legos have gotten too expensive

I like buying fake legos because the price is so good and when i buy them, i always buy the SY mark because they are very similar, you can do a SY fake legos VS Real Legos

Nothing is wrong with buying lepin, what is wrong is that they copy and make profit. What I wanna see is them getting some sort of legal rights to bring out star wars sets under their name that lego either didn't have or made or maybe sets that they don't bring out anymore like old retired sets so people can still buy it even after so many time bc many people ask a crazy amount of money for old sets which is ridiculous. I would like to see competition between lego and lepin bc it can only be good for us to see prices drop down. I have the first ucs imperial star destroyer from the brand King so basically lepin and it has the same problems that the lego version had back then with the magnets bc I looked up and people who have that problem with the magnets its the same for me but with the lepin version so you see it isn't just lepin being bad. Lego was once bad and kept growing and getting better and that will be the same for lepin I think. Some pieces are loose but its a ucs set so you can basically glue important parts together or parts that tend to come loose and then its fixed . So nothing wrong with lepin.
