This is sold in large bottles on street corners in Costa Rica and people buy it left and right. And it ain't cheap. I have lived here 21 years and have seen this trick and told people about it, but you can't fix stupid.

As a beekeeper, this video is like watching horror movie for me. The music was apt as well. YIKES!

@@ahmadtaha2962when placed in a liquid, real honey does not dissolve as quick, also real honey is much more flammable, so put on a wood skewer, will most likely stay burning, while sugar syrup one will put itself out more easily. Then there's also the taste difference, although pasteurized store honey tastes pretty far from natural honey as well, although it technically is honey.

Yes treacle I can tell the difference between honey and treacle the flavour couldn’t be more different it was a very common treat for kids on bread instead of jam years ago especially in poor families because it was cheaper then jam of course that was before the war and sugar rationing.

tony hernandez put some honey on tip of fingers rub them together if it absorb in your skin it’s real if it don’t and or sticky it’s been cut not pure honey. Made in and cut in China.

Honey has different colors depending where the bees are collecting their pollen. My mom craved dark honey (as molasses) while i liked the honey from apple flowers (pure white). My grandpa produced honey. Do not judge it by it's color...

Yes, it is still fake honey even though you add a small portion of real honey in that mixture. Real honey is nutritious, full of enzymes. The moment you mix real honey with toxic synthetic sugar and heat the admixtuee, all the nutrition and enzymes inside the honey would be destroyed and you are left with poisonous, health destroying sugar syrup.

The phytochemicals in honey include antioxidants and other nutrients that are beneficial for our health, as well as anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that are good for wound healing. It has pollens and enzymes from the flora that it was made from which are good for our immune system. None of these properties exist in fake "honey" that has been made from caramelising sugar. There's nothing wrong with selling the product for what it is, but the problem arises when fraudulent sellers pass their sugar product off as real honey, particularly when it's at the price of real honey. It's very cheap to make and the markup is huge. Consumers are being deceived by thinking they're getting a product that includes the natural chemical makeup of a product that was produced naturally, but they're not, they've just getting browned sugar with zero of the nutritional benefits.
